My understanding is that these are not strictly SASI trials as the girls are not trialling directly for a SASI scholarship yet.
These 'trials' are initially to select a 'train on' or 'junior sasi' squad to train during the summer with exsting scholarship holders etc.
Girls who make it into this 'summer squad' (which I suppose is similar to previous Rising Stars/Young Sensations squads but directly under SASI rather than FFSA/SAWSA) will then be in the picture to be considered for final selections for any vacant scholarship positions early in 2010.
This is really no different to previous years, just the net seems to have been cast a little wider this year to try and help identify up and coming prospects - this is definitely a good thing.

In summary, probably about 25 new girls seem to have been asked out - this is being cut back this week, and those left will have the summer to work hard and stake their claim for a SASI scholarship early next year.

Good luck to all those involved.
