Gardens v Farm
C's I think 0-3
B's 1-8 :D
A's 1-3

great day out at the Garden today for the Farmers, the C's played really well and scored their
1st just before half time after some hard Gardens pressure then went on to win in the 2nd half.
The Ressies, well what can i say, we wanted it big time after last weeks dissappointment and it showed.
hats off to Mick the Ressie coach at Gardens who didn't lie down and hand us the game even though he had
4 lads not turn up, you deserve better mate, thanks for the game.
Back to Back Champions, well done lads, this one felt sweet especially after our poor start, roll on next week
to the cup.
A's game was a bit of a strange one, it had the air of "not wanting to get a card or get hurt" about it
and again gardens had a few out resting before next weeks cup semi.
Jonesa was our capitano today and he had a great game as did Bazzer and Benji Button.
We played some great football today and had some great passages of play to win the game comfortably
and we look forward to nexts weeks challenge at Grange.
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

A's - munno para 2 - 2 para hills east
B's - munno para 1 - 5 para hills east

tight game in the A's today with it locked at 1 all at half time after a last minute goal from easties. second half was much of the same with easties going 2-1 up with 3 minutes to go but para equalised through a quality free kick :D with one of the last kicks of the game.

sad to see us go down this year after what was such a frustrating year. unable to hold on to leads on 4 or 5 occasions being up 2-0 or 3-0 and then losing the game.

hopefully we can come straight back up and give div 2 a better go than we did this year :(

Thanks to Vista for making our last game so enjoyable in both A's and B's

Well done to Vikings and West Beach in the A's

Not happy with East winning the B's good team but referee was a complete cheat West Beach would have been far fairer

Fulham 1
Pontians 2

Great finish for the Eagles, two goals in the last 10 minutes showed good character and suprisingly some fitness! Could of been 3 or 4 up at the break. Fulham scored just before HT from a corner. Fulham looked sharp in patches but never forced the Pontians keeper into a save.

Good to see the Eagles finished above Parafiled Gardens!

I also recall reading on here that the game was fairly even ,0-0, 'til he sent off a Knights defender early in the game !

watched farm vs gardens today and interesting to see lots of changes in there line ups . farm had at least 3/4 players rested , and surely that wasnt the strongest team that gardens could of put out.farms pace and movement was just too quick for gardens today, and with some better finishing probably could of scored more.from what i saw gardens will need to dig deep in the semis to stand up to the downs if they want to progress to the finals.good to see the ressies take out the league today, they played great entertaining football and are a credit to the coaching staff.... well done boys

I refereed the game between the East and Para...I am more than happy to admit that I did not have the best game that week, but I can assure you that at no point in time did I intentionally set out to alter the result of that game.

That being said, the red card in question was entirely warrented as I had warned the player in question on numerous occasions before both the first and the second yellow card, and, as such, I saw no other recourse than to send him off.

But what is most upsetting is that my performance on that day may diminish the fine effort of the East B's team, home and away, over the entirety of the season in the eyes of some.

Nethertheless, well done lads you deserved it!!!

Results aside, I'm not sure referees calling players "dickheads" endears them to the players :)

Get over it. Your player that was sent off against us was told by the ref to settle down and still chose to throw himself about. He could have no complaints. Also one of your guys said to one of our players that he would end up with a second yellow so i dont know why your so bitter about it.

if i'm not mistaken the ref apologised to the player straight away for calling him a "dickhead" and said he was out of line, which your player acknowledged and was cool with.

if anything our home ref is harsher on us than on the visitting teams and he definitely is not a cheat. the guy that got sent off in the knights game was a t0sser and deserved it, if knights want to blame anyone for losing that game 8-0 they should look to him.

I already stated I agreed with the send off, and you were always going to win, looked like you were after goals in case of goal difference as you had 2-3 very offside goals (which were flagged) ultimately league wasn't settled on goal difference so had no impact

The linesman incorrectly for one goal as offside. Your linesman didnt look like he knew what he was doing. As you admit we were going to win and we did, the sending off had more of an impact on the game than anything the ref did and it was the correct decision to send the guy off. How you can say that you would have preferred to see Beach win the league instead of us because of a couple of decisions a ref makes that you dont agree with, is just a stupid comment.

My response is only to this comment referring to the scoreline, would not have been the blowout scoreline !
wasn't only the send off that had an impact, Knights subbed 3 players for the 1st team bench !

Congrats on the winning the league....onward to 2010.

Anyone know why Western Strikers game not played in Div 5? (well, no score recorded in paper, nor updated on website).
Also notice the website and paper have Croatia and Athelstone 6-2 result the wrong way round. :?

There was also the penalty I gave against the East when they played TTG where I over ruled the linesman as to whether it was inside or outside the box which cost us the game.

Then there was the soft freekick with 30 seconds to go against Vikings that turned a 2-1 win into a 2-2 draw.

I never claimed to be the best referee, just wanted to point out that my bad decisions (in the eyes of some) have been evenly handed out all year.
