Re: Thankyou West Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great comment Mega, the West Beach trainer was very concerned with the welfare of our player who was in quite a bit of distress. Congratulations to West Beach for being promoted, hopefully you guys can consolidate your position in Div 1 as it seems that you guys have a pretty good club going on there.
As for the Raptors first team, it was a dissapointing day after losing two players to season and possibly career ending injuries and conceding a goal with the final kick of the game. It looks as though there will be 3 or 4 veteran players that have served the club for a very long term that might not be unable to continue next year, changing of the guard at Raptors Park next year I think. Good opportunity for some of the promising young players to show what they have got and maybe take the club to the next level, but survival is the first step to revival.
Thanks again guys!

Re: Thankyou West Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guy who popped his shoulder was in great pain in my car on the way to the hospital, it popped out when he raised his arm to give one of our players a high five when we scored the equaliser. The biggest concern for him is how easily it popped out.
Better news for the player with the knee, it may not need to be operated on but he is definetely out for a long stint on the sidelines and at age 32 one has to wonder whether it is worth the rehab to get back on the pitch. He will get scans today to confirm the damage.

Re: Thankyou West Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its my first chance to post since i went down with my knee injury on Sunday
like the other Raptor boys i just wanted to say a big thank you to the WB trainer for his help after i went down. he was excellent in calming me and giving advice in what was a painful situation
also thanks to the WB supporters who showed their concern and help in getting me on the stretcher and undercover when the rain came down. it meant a lot and im sincerely appreciative
congrats on getting back to div 1 - well deserved and all the best for next year
as for my injury, it was first thought that i only had some cartilage damage so i had an anthroscopy on tuesday to 'clean out' the knee, but that revealed a torn ACL, meaning im gonna need a reco at some stage.
disappointing for sure (especially as i played every minute of every game this year and felt excellent) but thats competitive sport. though id like to think i'll be back, at 32 i think that may be it for me - but im never gonna say never!
thanks to all for their messages of encouragement - it means a lot
