No :clown: here burt but a person full of determination to win something before he retires! Pretty sure you would feel the same way if in our position, but maybe say less  see you soon enough! Forgot to mention, carra23, mate, if you need me to talk c-r-ap to geee ur teams up to win the league then i guess we have it won already.

If WE (gardens) play like we did yesterday we do not to deserve to win a game for the rest of the season.
Last 3 games we have Westies Florina and the Farm all in the top 4 gonna be a hard task to get even a point after yesterdays perfomance. But there is one thing in our favour we have the a tendancy this year to [play our best soccer against the better teams. Saying that lion were better yesterday we were S H I T

Wasnt at the game but from what I heard Pauly even had a bad game for the first time (obviously the car accident on his way to the game didnt help) and no one else stood up. But the last few rounds is a different story and I would love to see Gardens having a say in who wins the league :D

mighty big words from m andrea, sounds like he has already won the league. just dont see farm being too worried about florina, yes there top and 6 points clear so definately favourites on sunday.but see heres the thing,if you lose then only 3 points in it with your final game at the downs. downs still a chance of winning the league.so dont start counting your chicken wings yet!

MAndrea's confidence is indicative of the belief and attitude our club has this year. It has resonated through all three teams and we are having a great season all round.

For a Downs person to suggest we are not in great form is laughable really, considering the results the Downs have had lately: Loss to pontians, loss to inter, win vale, loss to fulham. In last four weeks, we've had three wins and a draw.

We know the title is not wrapped up, we know a job needs to be done and we've known all year that one slip up will bring us back within reach of the pack.

maybe you should inform mandrea that confidence is one thing but i wouldn't be printing the champions t shirts just yet. florinas desire to win the league is rivalled equally by the two teams who still have a chance and lets not forget you must play them at there grounds. you better not slip up against us on the weekend because i do not envy any team who must travel to argana to win the trophy. the race is well and truly still on.

i agree totally, the title race is not over and we look forward to coming to the 'slope' this sunday for a six pointer that will change the dynamics of the season either way.

You guys still do yiros'?

Para Hills West V Ingle Farm

A's 0-2
Great day for our guys and nice to finally get a win over Westies after a few failed attempts since we entered Division 1. The guys looked very solid in defence, we controlled the midfield and our forwards functioned really well. It was a welcome change from the last 6 weeks and you could tell the relief on the guys faces to get that monkey off the back. Goals to Dave Ennis and an own goal right at the death. Match was pretty tame for a Westies v Farm game. Outside of two soft yellows cards for us, I thought the game was very well refereed. He could of let a couple of things go but he was always in control of the game and got the big decision correct.

B's 0-1
A very physical game and very dour. We moved the ball around well in tricky conditions. Great to see young Nick from the C's come on to get the winner. The group of 4 youngs guys have really come along way so far this year. With Downs dropping points and Florina losing, we can see a back to back in sight. 3 very tough games to come though.

C's 3-3
Ugly game with very poor defending by both teams. 4 of the 6 goals were really defending errors. We scored a free kick in the last 30 seconds to get a point after been 2-1 up.

O35's v Downs. 1-2
Only had 11 players and finished with 9 due to injury. The guys did well this year after a poor start and everyone has enjoyed their time.

Cheers to Westies for a great day out. We are big rivals with each other but most of us get on well off the park. Mr X and Clarkey were very happy to finally have a win over the old club. Good luck to them for the rest of the year. Great to see our mate V having a run in their A's today. We all miss you mate.

Big games in all 3 divisions this week. Florina can win the title in the A's if they knock us off and I know the boys are keen to make sure that doesn't happen. After the game at their ground were we threw everything away in the first 30 mins, a few guys are keen to make things right. The B's can go a long way to ensuring they go back to back and our C boys owe Florina for a couple of losses over the years and can ruin Florinas title hopes.

The Yiros will be out in force this week to boys!!!

Im glad you mentioned Div 8 Jay because there is a serious dog fight going on for the title, with 5-6 teams still in the hunt.

Playing you guys is always fun, fair and competative and we look forward to clashing with your c team again. We know a win will put us in prime position to take out honours this year but my lads know we will get no favours from IFSC either.

Shoud be a great day all round at 'the slope'.

He who laugh's last will indeed laugh the loudest this year :P , but IMO if Ingle Farm beat Florina this week it will come down to goal difference at the end of the year  . It will indeed be a close title race but I'm more interested at what's going on at the other end with 5 points seperating inter and Gardens and Pontian squished in the middle with last years winners. :o

Perhaps the last day could be even more exciting than we think

i beg to differ you have had a loss to Parafeild in the cup and a draw with Fulham. as I said not great championship winning form. For me Farm have the momentum to go all the way. Confidence goes a long way overconfidence can be energy draining. Que Sera Sera may the best team win.

i was referring to league form.

Our overal form still is much better than yours

Florina: WWWL(cup)D
Downs: LWLW(cup)L

On that basis, if our form is not worthy of the crown, then surely yours isnt either?

Nah burner, Louie is a disgrace. May be a nice bloke, but he is definatley the WORST Club ref running round. The man never moves from the center circle and i have never seen a Ref argue with supporters, opposing linesman and opposing players as much as he does in my life. If only he spent his energy on Reffing instead of defending his horrible decisions then he might be 1/4 decent, not even 1/2.

Your a great club Florina but he is bringing you down...

I you read my posts I never said it was. In fact i think Farm will be your biggest threat not us. You had a nice lead at the end of the first round of games and were overtaken at the death, seems to me the next three games are the same three games you had at the end of the first round. So if your telling me league form and cup form are a different thing then you may just want to put a hold on the Champs 2009 shirts and hang on to the underacheivers shirts a wee bit longer.

We beat Farm at home, drew with Gardens away and lost you guys.

Im perplexed as to why you would suggest we crumbled against the three teams last time?

players at florina have won many leauges between them an one more is wat they are going to take this year ,winners no how to win, an the feeling around the club is that the squad this year can do it, they are the only people we need to prove it to, an thats been the thinking all season. minus a few stumbles along the way were still where we feel we deserve to be this time of year, were up 4 it

Florina should win the league and probably deserve to do so given their form and consistency throughout the year and good luck to them if they do. Gardens did beat them recently in the Cup but in all fairness the result could have easily gone the other way - lucky for Gardens the good team turned up for that one. The only team that will beat Florina at this late stage is Florina themselves. Keep it together and the titles theirs for the taking however the long it goes on the bigger the mind games. M Andrea, can you and the other Florina guys handle the pressure?

Good luck to all, it has surely been a great season so far.

I thought the referee that we had on the weekend was ok, certainly better than the league supplied referee in the cup match. The Florina referee you are all talking about certainly could not have been the guy that took the whistle in the ressies when the Farm played there earlier this year, he was one of the best refs I have seen in a long time.
