Mid week games at SAWSA Park
Some interesting games being played this week at SAWSA Park:
Thu - U17s cup semis
Fri - Metro vs Cumby (prems)
What time is the Metro-Cumby game?

Might pop down on friday.
I don't just want to have my cake and eat it, I want to go back for cheesy biscuits and tiramisu.
Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
Not impossible if they can repeat the game they played vs City._changeling_ wrote:7pm Kick Off on friday night for the Cumby/Metro game.

Surely they need luck!!!
Metro on papers is too strong but you never know.
I will try to go and watch, so if A.P. is there too at least there will be two spectators!
Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
Do Cumberland have a full squad or are they riddled with injuries and other problems?
Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
theres potentially a few injuries there... not sure exactly yet, but i know at least one player is out with injury!
but even so, i dont believe it was a full strength cumby team against city either.

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
If Cumby don't have all their players Metro are definitely big favourites. Do they have their full team?
Don't mean anything bad but yeah, Metro is so strong and Cumby will need their best game of the year to bring home a good result.
I agree that is not impossible tho

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
But wouldnt people have been saying that City were big favourites?
and Cumby beat them without a full strength team...
but each to their own.
i think cumby could quite easily take control of the game if they want to.

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
I agree that City were favourites too, but will Cumby be able to do this twice? Or even three times since they play Metro again on Sunday? If they can, well then it's different.
What do you mean by "if they want to"...do they normally play games without wanting to take control?

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
i think she means that cumby have a habit of not thinking they can win, or having their head in the game for the whole game.
so it's to which degree do cumby want to take control of the game, that's what will matter and like i said in teh past it's not always to the right extent in some of these games.
i'm sure hoping for a win, wish i was playing i love playing against metro.
also, they could pull out a good game again.
the star defender out this week was also out in the city game.
i personally think she's just soft but whatevs

Re: Mid week games at SAWSA Park
Cumby potentially can beat any team on a good day. They showed that before.
They play Metro twice in 3 days and could bring home one of their best results in the year...The good thing for them is that if they beat Metro they can really have something to cheer about, it would be an incredible result. The point is: do they want it enough?
Another thing tho is that Metro have to win if they want to keep their hopes up so they will probably be a bit edgy. Cumby instead have nothing to lose and sometimes this can be a great advantage...
