With regards to offside they don't signal offside because they think it might have been offside, they'll signafy offside because they were sure it was.
then how come they don't always get them right?

I didn't say that at all. All I sad was in reality it was offside. Linesman didn't see it, hence he didn't call it.
which means it wasn't offside
try telling him that

At the end of the day. That's football.

I think both teams got lucky, so at least it evened out.

Those penalties were shocking..... Giggs and Evra :s... whoops!

Because what they see and what you see isn't necessarily the same thing.

evras was one of the worst i've ever seen, cech probably could've dived the wrong way, realised got up and then dived the other way and still stopped it before it crossed the line.

oh really, i thought they wouldn't always get it right because they're human and they see something which they might THINK is on or off side and then in actual fact when u check the replay it might turn out that it wasn't but what your saying is that whenever a linesman doesn't flag for offside it's because they didn't see it at all and must've been watching the crowd instead or something.

nah i'm pretty sure they would THINK they're 100% right but wouldn't know until they see the replay to.

Who said anything about the crowd. It's about the brain processing the information provided by their eyes. At that speed you expect someone's perception to be different to a replay.

In other words when a linesman signals it was offside it is because he (in his mind) was certain it was.

but then once checking the replay he may find that what he THOUGHT was certainly offside wasn't. there those pesky linesman go again doing all this thinking stuff.

can't believe Kuszczak sitting on the bench for Foster - Fergie has not a clue when it comes to his keepers. Has made many mistakes over the years by way of his selections.

I had no interest in predicting who won it. The latter conversation has nothing to do predicting a winner. Furthermore, winding up mufcboy is fun.
