Division Six:
Fc Adelaide 4 Mount Barker C2 0
With Hahndorf out of action we knew a win would level us on points with them and a seven goal margin would have overtake their goal difference. Like last week we came in half time a goal to the good, the difference being be deserved to be in front today. To be honest we missed a whole lot of good chances and should have bagged five in that half alone. Personally I only touched the ball once. More of the same in the second half and once the second goal went in the score result was never in doubt. I had four touches for the whole game - two goal kicks and two reletaviley safe catches.

Not a good day for us.
Div 2
FC Adelaide - OISC 3-1 (1-1)
Assuming Salisbury Villa won, our Bs are no longer on top, and hopefully we don't get sucked back into the relegation battle in the As.
Div 4
Strathalbyn - OISC 2-1 (0-1)
Bye bye title, promotion will be pushing it from here I think. The Ds stay on top though.

Div II:
A: Vipers FC 8 Navarino 2
B: postponed
C: Vipers FC ? Salisbury Villa ?
Scorers: Matsouliadis (3), Kali (2), Agalidis, Jaric, can't remember
5-1 at half time, it was a game that really was a case of Vipers having a greater hunger, and more to play for. Outstanding throughout.

Stirling 0 - 1 BOSA (1-1)
Have to go to outlaws so no full report. Small pitch made passing game very hard and allowed for tight defences.

Div 1
Adelaide Villa 6 v Gleeson 0
Musci on fire with 5 goals
Reserves
Adelaide Villa 3 v Gleeson 1
And Della with the other...... HT 1-0
Great defensive effort put up by Gleeson to hold Villa up for the first 45.
Second half Gleeson lost there shape and all Villa could've had 10+.
One sided game played in 1 half, with Gleeson scrambling the ball clear on the last line of defence on numerous occasions.

Africa 1 St Peters 4 (B's 0-3)
Great fun trying to play football through 6 inch long grass on most of the pitch.

Second half was a case of many chances going astray, could have easily been 10. Good luck to Gleeson for the rest of the year, team that is struggling but still not giving up and a good bunch of boy's...
BTW Reserve keeper playing first team has big shoes to fill for a few weeks until Jack get's back from OS...

Presuming it was the same guy as when we were down there, he was abysmal then as well. From memory 4 penalties turned down. Still, not as bad as Simba.Chelsea4thewin wrote:B's

Re: SATURDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 2009/07/04
haha, our referee gives a lot more to the opposition then he does to us
im not one to complain about a referee but that was some of the worst decisions i have ever seen, take out the yellow card when someone asks the ref to explain a decision, now that is wrong
oh well we are glad to take the points home, good venue and the best crowd of any of the teams in the competition
good luck for the rest of the season ACU Falcons

Did I miss a goal?
It was at Lion's old ground, small park, long grass, very windy.
Sterling had most the play in the second half but Bosa keeper looked pretty comfortable, Bosa had a couple of chances in the second but never really threatened.
Highlights were probably Rob Sergi's jokes about bosa #4 Ben Watt, should really have his name on his shirt Watt 4, and maybe get his cousin Ben Which to play in goals, Which 1 and Watt 4. Childish humour that got us through the afternoon really.
On the other pitch Salis Villa got smacked 5-0 I think by a black and Red side.
