So what happened today??
Did everybody lose?
Is that why there are no posts here?
Or maybe all games were postponed like the Metro-Cumby one?

2-1 for city

was a good game. it was 1-1 in full time but ref played 10 extra minutes due to injuries and city scored the winner with about 2 mins left.

also heard sturt 1-0 but pitch was in terrible condition

Good win for Sturt. They're still a very good team when they can field their starters. Everyone knows how hard it is to beat Olympic these days.

I actually went to the Fulham game (second half only though) and thought City were all over them for the entire time. City attacked and were creative while Fulham simply tried to waste time, contain and be physical too, but really were smashed. Fulham conceded the 2nd goal only at the end, but were quite lucky not to concede a few more goals before and after the 2-1. City had some very good players too I thought. Good game to watch, terrible weather to play!

Hope that the Fulham player that got injured towards the end is fine, she didn't look so good when she was carried out (Shorty?). Good luck to her.

U would kind of expect that City would dominate given that its 1st vs 6th but yeh doesnt mean it wasnt a good game. honestly thought a draw would have been a fair result. yes city had a lot more of the play but fulham defended really well so thought a point each was prob a fair outcome

I have to disagree with Gubs for what I saw, but yes Fulham defended well.

I don't think that they deserved a draw, but that's just my opinion and I prefer teams that actually play soccer to others that just try to destroy it. But I see what you mean, and yes Fulham put up a good fight and were nearly lucky, but clearly not enough.

The Fulham game plan though shows very little confidence in their players IMO. But then again, I don't know if Fulham intended to play in that way or if they were just trying to get by because City was too strong for them...It would be interesting to know what it was said before the game...

Did they play in the same way also vs Metro and Olympic? If so, it's a tactic that doesn't pay!

Then I must be interpreting the game differently, that's all. Or we saw different games.

We never play the same way against different teams, always have to change things up. U only saw the second half and so u didnt see fulham or citys first goal/s. city's was a pretty lucky cross come shot and fulhams was a pretty good counter attack and a chip which caught the keeper off the line. always difficult to play pretty football in the mud and slush so sometimes u need to grind games out and do what u need to to at least salvage a point. up until 5 mins from the end that had worked

Some rather interesting comments regards the Fulham AC game. I think on the surface Fulham have looked to struggle a lot at times. Pretty difficult for Max to mould a team with many new players, to his credit he has instilled a competitive nature in the players at his disposable. Credit also to the players. The "bench" at Fulham must feel frustration. But hey guys going forward into the future is what it is about. IMO learned people/coaches/ players should/would be vary wary of what Fulham will be like in the future. Girls and coach keep up the the competitive spirit "Play hard play to win", it will serve you well in the future. :)

These are the DIV 3 results according to the FFSA website. I'm guessing a typo with the C'Town game?

Round 10 - 14-06-2009 - THIRD
Adelaide Olympic 1:3 Pink Panthers
Cumberland 2:0 Para Hills Knights
Flinders University 6:2 Campbelltown City
Parafield Gardens 10:1 The Downs

think you'll find Gardens in second place on goal difference. A win last Wednesday night over the Downs in 1 of their catch up games it just hasnt been updated on the SAWSA site. With 2 games in hand one against Panthers & the other against inform Campbelltown it makes for an interesting second half of the season.

It all starts this weekend with a top of the table clash against Panthers down @ O'Sullivans beach
