the farm - i have not seen the gardens this season but heard good things. a must win for the boys and with toasty rutter hitting form, we'll just sneak in 2-1.

westys- too strong at home

im picking 2-2 here.

florina should win this as they would be well rested from sundays game. apparently few b's got a run.

lion to win comfortably. just dont rate inter

INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD - Farms slope should just give them an advantage
PARA HILLS WEST vs ELIZ VALE - I think Westies pace will cause Vales defence some concern
PONTIAN vs FULHAM - Hoping for a draw
SALISBURY FLORINA vs ELIZ DOWNS - Cracking game, if both teams are at full strength they will be hard to split
USC LION vs SALISBURY INTER - Kept a clean sheet for 90mins last week, which is a positive for us. Djoko back this week will bang the goals in.

Farm vs Parafield Couldn't split these at the moment. If Parafield play the way they did against us (without conceding) they will really push for a win here. In saying that Farm no push overs and have to win to stay in the hunt. Will be a cracking game. Hey Lefty, you should of stuck around for the squid and pork chops!!! Thanx for coming and hope you enjoyed ur night. Who says there's a rift between Gardens and Florina :D Draw
Westies vs Vale I'm only picking the Westies as they are at home. Vale inconsistent and don't know what to expect but Westies don't want to lose again as they could drop further back in the title race. Westies
Pontian vs Fulham This is a great chance for Pontian to climb the ladder. fulham with a 6-1 drubbing of inter are on a high. Draw
Lion vs Inter - what ever happens here is crucial for survival. Lion at home i think as Dougy will have them ready.
Florina vs Downs There's alot of respect here going both ways i think. Burt would have them fired up for this one and why wouldn't he. Top spot up for grabs at the half way mark. Downs are doing just fine at the moment and will be no push over. Yes we did rest a few in the cup game and we are also ready for the challenge. Will be a great game and only picking us cause we are at home. Hope to see a BIG crowd this week.

INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD - We have a good record against them and we are almost back to full strength again. Gardens are the form team at the moment but we have really only played 30 mins of poor football this year and were punished for it. Interesting to see if Mo wins his appeal and lines up against us this week.
PARA HILLS WEST vs ELIZ VALE - The team that lost once in basically two years surely cant lose 3 in a row.
PONTIAN vs FULHAM - Fulham are a well set up team but Pontians have been getting some good results. Home ground gives Pontians a point in my mind.
SALISBURY FLORINA vs ELIZ DOWNS - Match of the Round. Downs are no longer the dark horses, they are the title favourites in my opinion. They match up well on Florina and I see an 3-2 win to the Downs.
USC LION vs SALISBURY INTER - Lion are almost ready to turn their season around and Inter are rumoured to of picked up some good quality Federation players.

INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD - I watched Parafield play Modbury Jets in the cup and thought they were a solid side with a good mixture of youth and experience. We do have a good record against them and will need to play good quality Football to beat them.
PARA HILLS WEST vs ELIZ VALE - After seeing Vale Vs Vista I thought that Vale's defence lacked pace and Westies are a very quick side. I think that it will be a case of who scores more in this one rather than conceeding less.
PONTIAN vs FULHAM - Fulham will be Too big, Too strong and Too quick for pontian and should run out easy winners regardless of where they are playing.
SALISBURY FLORINA vs ELIZ DOWNS - Certainly match of the round, Not sure I can pick a winner here but would be a great game to watch.
USC LION vs SALISBURY INTER - Its about that time of year that Lion start getting results and with redders new mascot at the helm Im going with a close win for them possibly 1 goal to seperate these two sides.

I can't believe Mo and the Gardens are appealing for what he did. This is a disgrace and shame to read the Gardens supporting this behavior towards refs. He deserves everything he gets. It is because of idiots like him that the amateur league is struggling for Referee's. Without ref's we don't have a league, so I hope the league stand strong, stick to there guns and shows all clubs and players that they will not stand for this behavior. If the SAASL don't, then what support do they show towards there refs?? NONE.... and they become as much to blame, as idiots like Mo, for refs leaving the SAASL and heading towards the FFSA.

Pull out your heads Bill and crew and finally show some support for the men in black and send a message to us all you will no longer stand for this crap.

I personally think that half a season with a suspended sentance for the remainder of a season should be adequate. We have had that ref a couple of times and though he is one of the better ones he can frustrate with his "my way or the highway" attitude. He sent of one of our players for dissent with 30 seconds left to play. Mind you i dont think Mo has ever been the star player against us. Very easy to fire up.

What drugs are you on Yammy Boy?
Gardens arn't & would NEVER support Mohamads behavior or any other player who behaved that way towards a referee, & if they are appealing
(I dont know they are, Jay Walking seem to know's all ) they are appealing the severity of the sentence which in my opinion was harsh. I was at the game & saw how the incident unfolded, were you? I bet you weren't. Mohamad was wrong I agree
NO question but so was the referee, players have & should have the same rights and personal space referee's, and referee's shouldn't invade players personal space by
SHOVING A RED CARD 4 or 5 inches from a players face especially in a heated situation that's just asking for trouble, that's what happened and that's why Mo reacted by grabing the card & ripping it up.

Nugget i was at the match, and the only reason the card was 4 or 5 inches from Mo's face cos Mo was up in the Refs face.

I think the SAASL need to be firm with this one, cant give a harsh penalty and then go back on it, makes the SAASL look soft.

We all know that Parafield dont condone that sought of behaviour but i think any club in this position would appeal, why not, Mo is a class player and Parafield might get lucky.....

All the Referee needed to do was take a step back then give the red not shove it in his face, that's all I'm saying...

Find it abit strange that the referee should have to take a step back.

Not commenting on the situation at hand, as i wasn't there.

Obviously in the heat of the moment players do stupid things. I have myself and been sent off for it but at no time should we invade the refs private space by touching him, including his cards. I believe a player has the right to put his point across for a foul or a stupid decision as long as it is not physical and done in a sensible manner. If you touch the ref and he deems it aggressive towards him, bear the consequences of doing so and wear the penalty.

The league must stamp out this behavior and not go back on the decision regardless how it was invoked or what happened. By the sounds of it, it is his post actions that he is being harshly pushed for not the prior incident.

I hope Mo's bro is a lot calmer then him, else if one goes off then the other may and the Gardens could be down to 9 men instead of 10.

Dunno bout getting LUCKY, but maybe Mo  I'm with Marooned. Served half season and suspended sentence for rest would be adequate and maybe if happenned again, automatic 1 yr Ban or worse if situation worse. 11 games including cup is hefty sentence as it stands. So good luck to Mo and Parafield in getting him back.

Gotta agree here, is this the first time he has been in this situation or has it happened b4? I mean if he wins his appeal and plays again soon I am sure he will get plenty of shite from opposition players and if he reacts it could unsettle Parafields game at a time when they are playing well. A bit like the Barry Hall of the amatuer league :)

Game of the weekend will have to be Florina vs Downs winner will go top at the halfway mark. Theyve been going about their business quietly down at Argana Park but there has been some Forum activity of late and if the downs win no doubt we'll here them all.

Hoping for a draw though to keep things more interesting at the top.

PARA HILLS WEST vs ELIZ VALE - Westies at home are strong & should win this one, in a close one tho!
PONTIAN vs FULHAM - Six pointer. Pontians
SALISBURY FLORINA vs ELIZ DOWNS - Florina have been in a couple of top of the table clashes of late & have managed to see them thru, how much longer can they do? This one will be big. Benny A to play a blinder & get a draw for the Downs
USC LION vs SALISBURY INTER - Another 6 pointer. Inter up & down, lion yet to get going. Draw written all over it
INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD - Return of Mo..? time will tell Jay  Yep, Farm have had the wood over us the last couple but all good things must come to an end. Be another tough battle looking forward to it & 3 points a must with it being so tight at the top. CMON the GARDENS :D

Good luck to all

Unfortunately there is no prize for being top halfway through a season. If we lose we have to work harder, if we draw we have to work harder, if we win we have to work harder. The Holy Grail will go to the team that works harder at it than the rest.

As above.

Just on the Mohammed issue raging here - i wasnt at the incident and wont comment on it but I have known Mo since he basically stepped off the plane from Egypt. I played with him at St Augustine's in Div 4 way back when.

All i can say about Mo is that he is a top bloke, caring and kind. He taught us all so much about football and this issue seems out of character for the docile giant i know.

It's a shame that this is happened but as Marooned mentioned above, he is targeted and easy to fire up. As someone with an ethnic background, i know exactly what type of abuse is hurled at Mo and I can understand why he would fire up...

INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD- To hard to seperate, both teams great on their day and both need a win to keep in touch with the top.....2 all.

PARA HILLS WEST vs ELIZ VALE- Got a good feeling about this week :D

PONTIAN vs FULHAM- to win 1-2 in a close battle, Fulham i think has a little more class.

SALISBURY FLORINA vs ELIZ DOWNS- Game of the round, i think that the Downs are fitter and will get a late winner, but hoping for a draw

USC LION vs SALISBURY INTER- Lion to get thier season underway 3-1 at home.
