haha thanks for the vote of confidence in our high scoring shorty!

i think we have our keeper back though (dont quote me on that), so para hills may have trouble slotting 23 past her... haha

and iHate, wheres your sense of humour?

There was a few things actually.... To be honest, i heard from one of the players it had nothing to do with results, it was a build up of problems

yeah understandable.
i have to say, as a player, i wouldnt enjoy having drusetta as a coach, i hated the way he yelled at his players... so angry!
but thats just the impression i got from the 2 times we've played them this year...

Told by senior players... He told the players he was going to resign, then changed his mind, TWICE, then said he wanted to stay on.
The club had enough of it and it was sending team morale down the drain so CCSC made the decision for him.

No probs, dont take my word as gospel though, this is just what i heard through one of the players, i assume that this is the story.
Feel free to clarify it if you hear anything else.

southern style is correct in that respect but there was a few other things as well, i mean obviously our last two results have been VERY dissapointing losing to adelaide city 8-0 and fulham 4-0, we do have a good team, we can do MUCH better, we have a awsum captain who has kept things together, but wen your confidence is so low it doesnt help, it had shown on the park the past two weeks. We want to climb the table and get some wins under the belt, we are much more serious about this season as compared to previous years. Im sure the fulham girls would understand what its like to be in a rut..as they have gone thru a bit of a hard time but now starting to get things together. Anyways we are going to get on with things and try to aim for a win sunday against sturt and start playing to our potential. All respect to rob though...wish him all the best.

thanks for confirming pao.
whose taking over as coach?

and its good to see your staying positive, everyone has a bad games, so i dont think anyone will try to take anything away from campbelltown, you have got a good team this year and its good to see you giving some teams a challenge and coming away with some wins!
good luck for the rest of the season!

yea thanks challenging.......camillo lomabardi will take over, hes been involved in campbelltown for many years, hes the sports director and has been coaching as well with the men....so we'll see how things go, we still have time to get things going to at least finish mid table......look you need to remain postive, nobody wants to be relegated this season, everyone wants whats best for there team. I have to say this season is a hard one with clubs recruiting well, but we simply will not stand for fighting for a survival spot wen we can do so much better.

two rainy days dont make a winter - if we are going to get like that after a few loss' then max would have been well and truely gone from fulham!!!!
drusetta have c'town playing some excellent football and i really believe that if they kep the structure,. the young girls (maybe not the venue coz that field SUX!) but the team morale up then in the next few years they will be unbeatable.
c'town - should ahve given drusetta another shot - only 8 games into the season and you sack a coach for having some heart and wearing his heart on his sleeve. WOW. i think a vocal coach these days is hard to come across and c'town should have stuck with him coz thats what some girls need these days - a hard coach who will keep you in line!!

thats well said shorty, and you made some good points.
lets keep in mind though, we dont know what politics where going on when it happened. i personally think campbelltown will be better off without him if he was saying he was going to resign, and then changing his mind. In my opinion, if a coach says he wants to resign then yeah by all means get rid of him, it cant help a team whose trying to get on their feet and play some good football, and yes campbelltown are playing some good football and it appears drusetta pulled them together, but having an indecisive coach wouldnt do much for the team morale, as pao said.
so good luck to them.
whats done is done!

and yes shorty, totally agreed in your summing up of the pitch. it does suck!

haha we had to cancel a game there last year. we actually had a decent ref who decided the pitch was too dangerous cuz it had been raining all morning and all thru the reserves game...
from the way the pitch looked on that day it would've made for a very interesting game haha.

it wasnt all about results, i mean results are important, but it was off field things as well as challenging mentioned above, the club want whats best for us to do well, just as they would do with the men.

Are you talking about the main pitch on sunday??? or the second pitch down the bottom LOL....yea its cos campbelltowns soil is filled with clay so its shit soil and doesnt drain water properly, so yea.

yeah, well if that's the case, and he was flitting back and forth between resigning then campbelltown are better off having a coach that wants to be there.
campbelltown do seem to be doing well, just basing on results as i obv haven't seen them play. good on em. keep it up :)
and yeah that pitch, the clay soil just doesn't do it any good. it's pretty sjhocking.
haha yeah changeling that would have been an interesting game, but none of us wanted to play ahaha, trying to speak loudly near the ref to make him cancel the game
