Champions of Italy... Again

Post by Inter_boy;) »

YES YES YES... oh & YES

Inter Milan the team that you Milan & Juventus fans mocked for so many years have absolutely shredded you wankers the past few years, what have they won in the past 4 years... fuck all!

4 consecutive titles i cant remember the last time milan achieved that, probably cause they havnt!

yes i will finally admit that the first of those four shouldn't even really count & the second was minus juventus and a disheveled milan team, but the recrods will show 4 championships on the trot and 17 scudetto's for inter (now equal with bbilan)

go fuck yourselves!

wooooo!!!!!

Milan did it in the early nineties.

And I wouldnt beat the drum too loudly about the first 2 titles in that 4, regardless of the witch hunt that went on.

Sorry, 3 which included 54 games unbeaten and a few CL's as well - i would not count those first two scudetti, these last two, hats are off to them, best team in serie A

history books doesn't show four in a row since torino.

Say what you like about 06/07 but that side was the best of the last three. We didn't just win it we destroyed the whole competition.

Only down side is it comes when serie A has been at it's weakest for a long time but you can only beat the opposition you play and history books don't show preferential treatment from one championship to the next.

Worth remembering that three of milan's championships were before Inter split to form our own club ;)

Honestly, I would've liked to have won it on the field tomorrow morning... would've been terrific at the final whistle, even though I'm sure there will be more partying at the Meazza...

Ibra reckons we're gonna win everything next season - hopefully it means he'll still be in black and blue and in Milan

I'm waiting for a few sites to update before I post anymore images. There's a few I saw that I wouldn't mind posting

Youtube footage this year hasn't been as good as previous, but not due to lack of celebrations just poor video.

Ibra wont be going anywhere, I don't remember Mourinho losing any player he wanted to keep.

Well done to Inter, my brother is a big part of their sponsorship deal with Pirelli so him and his company would be delighted with the success of the team... a lot of money get's thrown their way and it seems it paid off again.

My brother is a senior executive with Pirelli and was heavily involved in the sponsorship deal, he did tell me the amount but I am not allowed to publish it, he has spent many a day in the corporate boxes smoozing people, the bastard... I hate him cos I am so jealous.

he works in Milano? It doesn't seem to be so complicated to me Marco Tronchetti Provera now runs the show at Pirelli, but the Moratti family & Pirelli family go way back.

The complications come when the company is not going so well , my brother was based in Milan for years, he is now based in Singapore heading up the Pirelli Asia Pacific Division... his former role was Director of Motor Sport ... which he retains to some degree... The only hard part is the size of the cheque and the benefits / arrangements that the club and players provide to Pirelli as a company ...

gotta start translating domestic success into european success. quarterfinal exit in the CL again next year will not be good enough, the 'special one' better start using some of his magic touch.

If we don't progress toward being a super power on the continental scene next season, it could be numbered days at the Meazza for Ibra and Mourinho...

Hopefully rumors of Moratti offering Jose a blank cheque to fill in during the transfer window amount to smart purchasing. We need another quality striker (obviously still has a lot of work to do to fulfill that huge potential) and a creative attacking midfielder - a trequartista, Jose's already stated his desire for that. If he chooses not to buy another defender we have to hope that our defence can settle next season because we are well covered in terms of quality defenders across the back four, but keeping them fit this season was another story. Depends on what he does with the ageing Materazzi and even Cordoba (who's still good enough). Cordoba, Samuel, Santon, Chivu, Maxwell (if he's still there) and Maicon will be a little light on considering all factors in those names - age (both young and old), experience, form, fitness as we saw this season. Ah well, Jose knows what he's doing!

I dont think those rumors are true, i doubt given the lack of success with last summers transfers that Moratti would b willing splashing the cash. Not until some selling is done. & the annoying thing is the players that will most likely b up for sale wont get us a decent amount of coin. Crespo, Cruz, Dacourt, Rivas, Burdisso, Vieira, Quaresma, Mancini, Jimenez, Suazo, Obinna. Therefor its unlikely we'll see too many changes.

Likewise, I'd be surprised to see a massive spending spree. Personally I rather we didn't anyway if you can get Julio Cesar, Maxwell, Maicon & Cambiasso all for under 10m euro why pay any more :P

Moving on Crespo, Cruz, Dacourt, Rivas, Burdisso, Vieira, Quaresma, Mancini, Jimenez, Suazo, Obinna is a fair bit of coin in wages saved which opens up potential buys. Of the names you mentioned 5 or 6 of them could be sold or used as player exchange.

If you believe the media it's looks like we'll be hard press to retain our key players and coach let alone buy anyone

We definately need another world class striker, having one goal scorer score 25 goals with only the next top score to be at 8 shows how dependant we are on Ibra. Aguero would be the best option, i think constant CL football would be a draw card, but given his cost very doubtful. Plus Milito wont win the club a CL.
