Which penalty decision? Surely not the one where the defender has his back to the play and the guy slams the ball at him from a couple of yards away, if you are referring to the Pique one earlier then that is a different story...

I still say I would love to see a player go off at his teammate for missing a sitter though, if they are so passionate then nothing should stop them from going off there nut ... should it.

As an Italian, I have to say I am happy that there is a spanish team in Rome. As much as I hate Platini.........he has actually made me happy that he has eliminated Chelsea!

Pique's was though. Clear as day, and a terrible decision.

maybe if drogba buried the chance at the nou camp, OR the great chance in the 2nd half at stamford bridge, u guys woulda been through

u can go on about the ref all u want, but in fairness, ur bloke missed 2 sitters ova 2 legs that coulda taken u 2 the final

The ref was bad but he also made some bad calls against Barca. Henry pen, the red card, ballacks elbow etc

I wanted Chelsea to win but after Ballack and Drogba's effort, shiraz em. As soon as things go wrong the toys are out the pram. Weak pricks
Well said Sparrow :!:

I actually think the referee had a good game :o bar 2 decisions 1) Pique hand ball 2) Abidal send off (which was the linesmnas decision) so 1-1 on that score.

If Vukovic can get a lenghty ban then so too should Ballac as he did handle the referee and as for Drogba yes he's a good player but his diving and feigning of injury is a disgrace and as for the after game antics if i was a Chelsea supporter i would be embarrassed by his actions not condoning them and he should also receive a lengthy ban.

If Drogba didnt roll around all 2nd half, there wouldnt have been 4 minutes of injury time, and we all know when Barca scored

Finally, time wasting tactics have back-fired !!!!

And he's calling UEFA a disgrace

I feel sorry for my 8yo son :( :( :(
He was more upset about Drogba and his "faking" and antics, then them actually losing. I think the poster is coming off his wall tonight

From what I saw this morning,
1. Chelsea should have had a couple of penalties.
2. Barca player should not have been sent off.
3. Ballack should get quite a few games for his carry on with the ref.
4. Man Utd will win the final easily. I saw nothing from Barca in the 2 legs that would have United worried.

If it was on the other foot and United missed out I would have like to have seen Rooney and Ferguson go on about it and of course Ronaldo cry. Could still see all of that in th final. What are the odd on Ronaldo crying if they lose???

Man Utd will allow Barca to play a verey open style. If they close up like Chelsea did, they will compromise their own style of game.

In a one off game, I cannot see Man U closing up shop like chelsea did.

What a fantastic couple of mornings :D , This morning was even better, to see the Chelsea supporters crying, to see the goal that could have only have been scored so late because of Drogba's cheating antics, a great great morning. Anelka was diving also at the drop of a hat. I hate Ballack,Drogba,Terry and Cole.
Serves the Russians right to for playing so defensively against 10 men.

LOL @ ppl saying Drogba is more passionate then Terry or Lampard, hes just a class A clown and i hope he gets clattered on the weekend and cant play in the FA cup.
If you're having Spurs problems I feel bad for you son
I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.

PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

Yeh...right. It is never the AR's decision - he assists and the Referee decides. Using your logic then, the Referee therefore influenced the game and spoilt what would have been a good game.

watch the game did you RL :?: He looks to the AR and he confirms red so yes he did make the final decision but looked to the AR for confirmation.

Maybe you could use your AR as thats what he's there for :clown:

Yes Platini told the referee to send off a Barcalona player under doubtful circumstances as a smoke screen to hide any obvious penalties he wouldn't give to Chelsea.

The ref was a disgrace , the incident where Lampard had his lip cut up should have been a straight red to the Barcelona player
oh hang on this was a UCL semi final not an A-league grand final

exactly the same as the Christiano incident , but not even a yellow card and no players charging at the ref ala Mr Muscat

95% of the blame goes to the ref but 5% the Chelsea players are to blame, they should have sealed the game during the 90mins.. Drogba is not deadly enough for my likings, he is too worried about diving around like a pork chop instead of hitting the back of the net!!

I am angry because we didnt deserve to lose like everyone else has stated but thats football..

I think it's funny how the media is going on about Chelsea having *four* penalty calls denied.

Watch any game, a lot of the time there will many penalty calls and the ref will wave off many off them. Calling a penalty is a big decision, so the ref doesn't always call a foul in the box as a penalty.

So the refereeing wasn't so good and the decisions happened to go 'slightly' against Chelsea. That's bad luck, it happens in football.

perhaps Chelsea were so desperate to win this, that they're really exaggerating the performance of the referee and the likelihood of the penalty calls.
