i have been thinking long and hard about a suitable punishment for these miscreant girls
so far ive got
- banned for life from any kind of football (competitive, in the park, in the garden, on the playstation...BANNED)
- the racks at sasi, where the general public can throw tomatoes or pineapples at them (tomatoes and pineapples would obviously be provided, other fruit/veg would have to be brought from home)
- 10 years in korean prison labour camp
but come on guys i cant think of all the ideas myself
what do youse reckon?

I think you've covered most possible punishments to be completely honest.
Although, how about some physical punishment..?

Apparently not all the girls were involved in the incidents which required disciplinary action..
Ten girls recieved game suspensions for a number of incidents..
A real pity for the girls who went to play soccer and show what they could do..
There is a real possibility that some talented players wont bother trialing next year..
A couple of girls I have spoken to are rather dissapointed and disillusioned with the whole experience and dont know if
its worth the effort.........Not to mention the parents who are not happy about the wasted $$$$$...........

Re: State Under 14s
What no one is talking about here is to what extent did the selection process lead to the events at the tournament. From what I understand there were a few selections that didn't follow the normally transparent selection process- some younger players, and at least one with a reputation for being disruptive in a team environment, were brought in, invited without having trialled initially, to train after the initial selections for the training squad had been made. Could this have led to some resentment among the girls who had gone through the process?
Secondly, to what extent should character be considered when selecting a group that needs to function effectively as a team? There are plenty of talented young players, of age players, who trialed for that squad- Was enough consideration given to what kind of people they were and how they would contribute to the team environment (a stipulated criteria of selection, by the way)? I think not. Some blame needs to fall on the selection process and the coaches. Ten out of sixteen girls benched? It may as well have been the whole team.
