dont you guys find it funny that only liverpool supporters have agreed that maschareno and alonso are better then scholes and carrick

i dont really care how highly you guys rate scholes at all imo he is a better passer of a ball then alonso and mashareno he has better vision and has been a first choice in a midfield that has been winning championships his whole career and when it comes down to it at the end of all there careers he would of scored more goals then all of them to. gerrard, alonso and macherano together probably havnt won as much silverware as scholes by himself he has been more consistant over a longer period of time 33 and still winning a championship none of them can get close to

just remember what they say anything gerrard does scholes did it first :D

Man U great first half, Inter very good in the second.

Cant believe how calm this Santon is for an 18 yr old - and the crowd sounds absolutely fantastic.

im so sick of the Berbatov! loses the ball, never puts in a effort to win it back or apply pressure, then throws his hands up in the air and starts to blame everyone else. Laziest player in the team by far. Needs a kick up the ass.

well it wasnt intentional at all..

Tommy smith, the mind reader once again, saying that Evra totally knew what he was doing and threw his hand out. Obviously doesnt understand the basic mechanics of the human body, since when do your hands stay stuck to your side as you make a rapid movement.

avg game, 1st half was woefull by us, constantly losing possession & defence was a house of cards. Only looked liked scoring from two chances other than that Utd did well at the back, isolating Adriano and shutting down Ibra. Santon did well, his distribution was poor but his marking and tackling was gd, big ask from Murinho to get an 18yr old to mark the worlds best player. Julio Cesar MOM.

thought he would have to score a hat trick for you to realsie how good he is, take away Cambiasso and we lose 3-0. Guy works goal line to goal line rarely making a mistake.

Was surprised by Santon, but obviously being asked to play on the left affects his distribution. Considering how poorly Muntari played even better by the kid, however still think Maxwell would have offered us no less and more with the ball.

Can't complain about the result, considering Inter players spent 30 minutes trying to digest Rivas was picked ahead of Cordoba. Playing a back 4 that have never played together before was an interesting "tactic" but 0-0 is obviously better than 1-1.

Felt sorry for Tyson, looked like even he knew he shouldn't be there ahead of Cordoba. Was great watching the Columbian in the second half, definitely had his angry pills over being left out :P

No doubt in my mind Man U are the better squad, however if we trust in Mourinho maybe we can walk away with the result.

We still have too many weaknesses, mainly no one to help Ibra, once Stankovic and Maicon are pegged back. Mourinho had the Fridge up their but considering he can't score without using volleyball tactics and his only asset is using his arse to push defenders around you kind of feel sorry for Ibra. I don't know what more Adriano needs to score, Cambiasso put two crosses at his left foot and he choked on both. One hitting him rather than him hitting the ball.

Muntari had probably his worse game for the season and needs to improve in the return, but I reckon we're good enough to hold United goal less for another 90 maybe 120 minutes.

btw, can someone remind me if United are still an English team, I've never seen an English team go down so easily with every challenge.

are you referring to where Muntari gets kicked in the nuts? Heads up, unlike Asians, Africans are apparently well equipped in this area. Might need to ask King Henry to confirm

Well, I'll begin with saying I'll take the point based on the game I've seen - We lifted in the second half, but on chances created and attempts at goal - Man United will feel harshly done by.

I take comfort in Julio Cesar - what a keeper - top performance to keep a clean sheet.

Here's what I thought about Inter today

As I said, Julio Cesar is a huge part as to why we claimed the result today along with the continually brilliant efforts of Esteban Cambiasso. We've had plenty of flops in the last two decades, but he definitely wasn't one of them, been absolutely brilliant. Line to line, hard working and offers something gutsy going forward.

Credit to young Davide Santon - only recently 18 and looks as if he could go a very long way should he continue to work hard. Comparisons with Maldini may be a little far-fetched, but definitely held his own today against some of world football's finest.
Rivas never should've been picked ahead of IR Cordoba - and the little dude showed that in the second half - his block from Giggs was goal saving looking at the replay.

Up front - well, Ibra fails to find the net again in a big one and Adri couldn't despite recent decent form.

IMO they do need to play up front - they offer a lot to Maicon, Stank, Cambi and Muntari coming from behind them, as well as each other. On a day like today when he was quiet and poor in front of goal, at least all the aerial balls were bought down by Adri to allow distribution. However, his miss against himself, on his favoured left boot, was inexcusable.
Ibra still looked dangerous at times and left defenders in his wake, however, it simply wasn't enough. We needed goals.

Ibra looked lost without the aerial threat of Adri feeding him IMO. He relied too much more on deeper searching for the ball. Balotelli has so much potential and I only hope for his sake a part in a game like todays does him the world of good. I hate to talk bad of the gardener, but it seems Julio Ricardo Cruz is past it. I hope his extension to next year doesn't turn into the next Hernan Crespo.

Above all, we're still in it. Ferguson has never liked drawing 0-0 away from home. I hope Jose does what he always has and doesn't back out. If we attack we can score. Play the two up front - it's worked for a long time now - and hit Man United on the break - they'll have to score as much as we do.

I was quietly doubting Santon's ability to play in such a big game but this kid is the goods. Has Ronaldo haring towards him which in the EPL would usually leave the defender embarrassed, this kid just stays cool and does everything right. Do you see Inter fans what happens when you actually give your talented young Italians a chance? :P

Julio Cesar is a freak. On form, is the best keeper in the world IMO. Cambiasso excellent again.

Still Man U got the result and will take a mammoth Inter performance to win at Old Trafford.

First half was all ours, im very suprised(and angry) that we did not score at least one before half time. Inter started playing in the second half, and for about a solid 20 minutes they were all over us and looked dangerous. I thought that our missed chances in the first half would bite us in the ass, but luckily Inter did not make the most of their chances. I would be spewing if i was an Inter fan IMO because the chances that they missed could come back and haunt them due to the fact that the second leg is at OT and that the best player in Europe (imo) will be back in the UTD defence. MOTM definately would be Inter GK Julio Ceasar* (*spelling). He was brilliant today.
