As I stated before the football league needs big clubs to be in the higher divisions, but how long can they continue to underperform.
I think they imploded some time ago. However they are a very well supported club still and will remain so. Sheff Wed some time ago played at this level and then rose to the top level before falling again. I have no doubts that Leeds will rise again.

This is the beauty of the football system, small clubs make it to the top rung at the expense of bigger clubs.

why? they are needed in the lower divisions also.

What is a BIG club? A club that lives on it's past glories of years gone by? If so Huddersfield are a BIG club for example.

or is a BIG club a club with a large following?

just my 2 penneth worth.

Every club needs a chance to play at the highest level, but without a big following they cannot normally survive over a long period, due to financial restraints. In West Yorkshire, Leeds is the only BIG club, if they were to go under most fans would not support another club, and it would have a huge negative social impact on the area.

I know that a large following does not guarantee success, I just hope that if they stay in league one, it does not destroy the club financially. As a Millwall fan this might sound bizarre, but imo Leeds fans deserve better from their club.

that does sound bizarre. From the leeds fans I have met, they deserve exactly what they get.

Leeds (the club) think they are a big club and a divine right to get every decision and promotion. Look how they carried on last year when they broke the rules and were punished. Leeds (the fans) are exactly the same.

Leeds (the club) try to ban every team with a slight naughty reputation and then have a cry when people claim they have a naughty element themselves. Leeds have never caused trouble have they, it was just OAP's out for a bank holiday tripto bournemouth causing trouble.

Of course they have a hooligan element, a lot of fans come from a shitty working class area. Why did Millwall have a large proportion of hooligans in the 80's? Because ALL the fans came from a shitty area. me included.

Because of past glories many Leeds fans are too gobby, but the fans have stood by a crap club. Its the majority of fans who deserve better, not Leeds Utd Football Club, they are a joke.

that mascot is a cracker.
meet chaddy the owl... fastest mascot in england! he wins the pre season annual race most of the time and his party piece at home is putting the ball on the penalty spot, then running to the other goals, turning around and sprinting the whole length of the field for a run up to strike it in the open net, (to the uproar of the chaddy end). fxxking hilarious. :D

Huddersfield have what could be a dangerous game (in terms of points) at Crewe.

And yet they still couldn't beat Yeovil... oops

So in summary this week

Leeds won :( Yeovil Drew 8) Milwall lost

The noose is tightening around the neck of Milwall football club, from a position of strength they have gone from bad to worse and now trail the MK Dons by a massive 9 points, with only 1 game in hand... Their last 5 games have netted a total of 2 points...

Highly likely they will get back on the winners list on Tuesday though as they are playing strugglers Cheltenham...

I picked the Milwall result, although it wasn't hard, Yeovil slipped up 2-0 Away and the new manager is still looking for points, pity the old one got fired when we had just won 4 out of 5 ...
