girls dropping out
I have heard around the place aobut people that have been dropping out of soccer and i think its
its like any sport
school is more important than soccer..
also devoting all your time to sport can leave you with a sad social life which when your young makes your life.
to play you need to have passion to have passion you need to love it..
THE LOVE HAS GONE.. its almost just routine now..
the girls will probably find out wheather they really love soccer now they have stopped if they miss it they'll come back if they dont then they dont.. its tricky to start working with girls so young and so much..
any opinions on why..?

Re: girls dropping out
its called commitment. the ones who want it, stick with it. the ones who dont, drop out. If a girl wants it that badly, they will do what ever it takes to get to the highest level. after all, u cant play football forever, might as well make the most of it while u can.

it also was caused by the stupid new structure they have put in place...NO RESERVES , what a rock show, but I spose as they say you pay peanuts you get monkeys doing the job

Re: girls dropping out
i agree, it was a bad move to cut out the reserves. what about the prems players who are coming back from injury. They will either have to go though Div 3 (of what ever) to make their come back, or they will get chucked straight into the premier league.

Re: girls dropping out
and remember all Prem sides have to nominate 11 players that are Prems for the entire season
125 years
Re: girls dropping out
dont remind me
I still think they have got all these changes wrong, but only time will tell. If they have got it right and I'm proved wrong this year then great, but if it becomes really clear that the changes have failed to produce the desired results then I hope they are willing to look again and fix things properly.

There are enough levels in every vocation to persue it seriously, or persue it socially (like a hobby).neits/burgo/shadow wrote:its called commitment. the ones who want it, stick with it. the ones who dont, drop out. Find the level and commitment that suits you and you will be involve at the level you want.
There are some clubs that don't even train and only play on match days.
There's nothing wrong with that providing everyone's happy.
However as you say Neits, if you wat something bad enough you'll go to the lengths necessary to get there. Of course, opportunity and luck also play its part.

Re: girls dropping out
i predict a lot of unhappy ppl by the end of the season at metro, and players may go back to previous clubs, or other clubs; The players who are good enough to play prems, but instead find themselves in div 2/3 (or what ever it is metro have), due to not enough spots in Metro's prems squad. All well and good to want to play for one of the top clubs, but would u sacrifice a spot in a premier league team (if thats ur goal) to do it? Metro will def win the lower div competitions this season.Leppskiii wrote:can't blame them really

Re: girls dropping out
u know im all for the challenge, and im sure thats many of the players reason to go. but if some ppl find themselves sitting on the bench every week when they have come from being a starter week in week out at another prem club, it will be very degrading for them. But, each to their own.Leppskiii wrote:Thats ok.

I agree Neits. Also, what about the younger players at Metro? Where to for them?neits/burgo/shadow wrote:u know im all for the challenge, and im sure thats many of the players reason to go. but if some ppl find themselves sitting on the bench every week when they have come from being a starter week in week out at another prem club, it will be very degrading for them. Not having a go just asking out of curiosity.
Re: girls dropping out
if metro have a squad where some players that are good enough to play prems elsewhere sit on the bench, then good for metro, their first team must be great.
