West London derby

Post by ForzaChievo »

Fulham v Chelsea
12:55am KO (Melb)

Not that many people regard this as a major derby, as both clubs have spent a lot of time apart.

But i'm hoping Fulham can keep there recent good form alive & somehow knock off Chelski.

one of the closests derbies in British football, can only think of liverpool and everton that are closer.

Brilliant worked free kick from Lampard 1-2 to Chelsea !
Fulham level it at 2-2 in 89th minute !!!
Top save by Schwartzer from Lampard !

2-2 Final

Shame. West Ham and Millwall could be closer...if your team wasn't complete garbage. :D

Such a disappointing game from our point of view, had so many chances & only scored twice & conceded both our goals to sloppy set pieces! I always hate playing at Fulham, such a difficult ground to play at. I knew 2 goals weren't going to enough, when we went 2-1 up we should have kept playing the way we were & gone for a 3rd. It has put a real dent in our title hopes & if Man Utd win tomorrow morning & both their catch up games then we will be 2pts behind them, not good!!!!!

What the quality of a side has to do with geographic location i have no idea. We'd have been closer had we not realised that east London was a shit hole and moved south of the river nearly 100 years ago.

Jesus, what is with Fulham, their recent results are great. From a team that narrowly beat relegation these guys are looking good defensively, in the midifield, a bit light in attack but still.

good point, they are VERY close.

And yes it is Stanley Park!

Charlton and palace were probably the closest in the 80's though, they shared slehurst park :D . And don't forget 45/6 when man u played at maine road and also in the 50's Man U played their european night fixtures there as maine road had floodlights and OT didn't.

What a poor game.. Lampard looked like he was doing it by himself out there.. J.Cole had a shocking 1st half but then he turned it on in the 2nd half and then Big Phill takes him off for Kalou he didnt even touch the ball.. Bad move, should have left him on seeing as he was playing so well.. Drogba is still abit rusty, could have put a few away!

So whats the history behind these two Dundee grounds.
Have they ever both played at home at the same time?
Can you imagine one playing Rangers while the other played Celtic, lol.

wouldn't happen, the police would never allow that to happen. Police wouldn't even allow them to be at home at the same time.

not really, you see Lazio fans live in the upmarket northern suburbs, parts like Prati and Flaminio, whereas the Roma fans live in the shithole suburbs where they mug 12 year old kids and their grandmas.

oh, and Benfica and Sporting don't groundshare
