Comets and Croatia I heard were. I was told Vipers were considering it.

No Sunday Div 1 or Saturday Div 1 clubs jumping on board either.

To the best of my knowledge, there are a couple of clubs who have started up and will be joining the FFSA league.

Many clubs were/are considering it. A club needs to explore all avenues and take the best course of action. You would be foolish not to even show interest in the proposed league. It wouldn't hurt to do so.

I agree. Our club completed a process of Due Dilligence and the committee voted to remain in the SAASL. All clubs should look at the prospect.

Vipers with SAASL for the 2009 season.

It was considered to switch to FFSA, however the committee decided to stick with SAASL.

Your club could go through a whole process including Due Dilligence and take an informed decision

Or you could look at how badly the FFSA has been run over the years, how badly it's currently run (including the 3 League structure and the Pt Pirie debacle) the manner in which this issue has been handled and say thanks but no thanks

That's Plenty!

The club did not consider switching, just looked at all options, to make an informed decision, for primarly the best interest of the club, followed by the game.

Overall the FFSA costs where lower, with greater benefits, but you are correct history and running of the FFSA was a huge negative.

Besides, I still can't get "Leap of Faith" out of my head, what a PR disaster that was, for anyone that was at the FFSA meeting. Can't see a long established club doing that let alone a new one.

I assume you can add Cove to the list - if they are keeping their amateurs.

If they didn't register for the SAASL as well, then they would lose their place.

Yes very quiet on the Mr Carter front.

Surely the registrations have closed and they will have determined numbers.

Personally I think that by having the Collegiate League they'll meet the requirements of the Crawford Report and the metro league will die a quiet death, although I can see it coming back in a few years via the FFSA clubs having a future requirement to provide an amateur team along with the other teams they need to field.
