Now that the Collegiate League has joined the FFSA they could just use that as the basis of their Metro League as that would satisfy the Crawford Report.

How if most fed clubs are required to put in a side how are they going to get promotion ?

Now that the Collegiate League has join the FFSA & they will be the basis of the new league,
that will ensure it's going to be the softest & most mickey mouse competition in the land !

Good Luck to all the clubs that have boarded the TITANIC.

typical post from nugget, one eyed amateur league post, at least go and hear the facts just so you know what is going on, even if you have no intention of joing, it is od to get all the facts, a little knowledge never hurt anyone.
might pay that all clubs attend just to hear what the FFSA have to say, no matter what there stance is, we have all hears what SAASL have said so might as well hear the otherside to...

Whilst i strongly agree with you DOC, just need to remember that the majority of the northern clubs have a strong alliance to the SAASL and it is their decision to attend their meetings or not. The majority of them have been successful enough to get themselves to the stage where they are at, and if they believe that SAASL is their home, it is ultimately their decision.

agree with you but people from all clubs, no matter what there alligence or success in SAASL owe it to the club to explore all avenues posible, and find out all the facts, as based on nuggets posts it looks like he doesn't listen to anything the FFSA say and is just going to stick to SAASL no matter what, no knowing which is going to be the titanic then make a descision on whats best, i doubt many clubs from the top three divs on sat and sun will go but lower division clubs may for a chance at higher div football

I am interested to see how the Collegiate League will be integrated into the FFSA competition. One of the main stumbling blocks over the past few years in the SAASL and CSL joining forces has been fees (SAASL higher fees than CSL). If the CSL becomes the Saturday Metro League, the fees are higher than the SAASL?? Surely the CSL won't be a stand-alone competition, unless Hihimanis has done a nice deal with the FFSA.

listen stupid......

firstly... I'M aware of the facts,

secondly... Why would we even consider swapping to the Dark side when they wont disclose there financial position to there own clubs?

Makes me think they have something to hide !

The fishing's great in the mornings, It's just a pity I hooked a couple of sh*tties

Promotion into the FFSA

How NAIVE some ppl are.

Have you got the $30,000 odd bucks per season at your club to do that.

Take the Collegiate League, no one gives a rats toss about that, now everyone's happy

Why not allow both sides of the argument to be freely expressed?

I've been reading a few of your posts nugget66, and frankly it seems that you are coming across as nervous, defensive, worried.... whatever it may be. If you didn't care so much about the issue - you wouldn't come across as being so defensive. Thats my 2 cents anyway.

You talk about being naive why would you or your club consider swapping to the FFSA when they have

No transparency to there club$ financially,

No club or stake holder involvement at board level who"s running the FFSA Lawyers, & accountants,

& a agenda to make our association insignificant & that's straight from the mouth of the boss!

Like I've said before why stop trying to negotiate a solution when the stakes are so high? that alone makes me wonder about the men in charge!

Nugget - I think everyone who is interested in going are just saying, let's find out more information. There is no need for any club to make a decision about moving or not moving to the Metro League for a while yet. Besides it never hurts to hear your options, even if it just confirms your current ideas, i.e. you saying to stick with the SAASL.

I have not said that we are considering switching leagues - that is something you have assumed.

However if we do, we will just have to wait and see who comes out on top.

I am attending to hear their side of the story - their FACTS & figures.

I'm not interested in politics, im interested in the best way for my club to move forward. Good luck if Carter told Bailey that you will lose, and Carter told you that SAASL will be insignificant in the near future.

Still to be confirmed - one source has told me that all FFSA clubs with amateur teams affiliated will be forced to join the Metro League in 2009, and by 2011 all FFSA clubs must have a team in the Metro League as well. However, I have also heard that there is going to be no pressure put on current FFSA clubs but they will be encouraged to have a team in the Metro League.

Call me nieve or ingnorant, but did the FFSA not try to unite Football in this state?

Seems to me the negotiations, stopped over a $10 fee, from the horses mouth, if your
where at the SAASL meetings.

In any case, theres no harm in hearing the FFSA out and as Cruehead mentioned and I agree,
not interested in the politics, just the best interest of the club.

I thought all FFSA clubs, where to have a team by 2010.
