BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
If clubs are that uhnappy with the changes and the non communnication , boycott it and send them a message
Re: BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
Much as I can understand your anger at SAWSA, I'm not completely sure that this is the best thing to do?
Continue the pressure pro-actively and constructively, not negatively.
The presentation night is for Season 2008 - not 2009. It is for the PLAYERS, to recognise their achievements - not SAWSA's achievements.
I cant really see how telling players (especially juniors) who have worked hard all season in their competitions to not attend something which seems really big and important to them will help -would just be hurting the players more than sawsa...

I agree pvfc
The girls have worked hard and it's nice to get recognized.

but its ok to hurt the juniors then with this decision.what outlook does it give them for the future, yes it might be a bit harsh but reality is sometimes you have to make a hard ball decision in life , sawsa has without really thinking of the long term affect on the womans game
Re: BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
what about signs and picketting while ur at it?
preso night is a bit of fun for the end of the season!
enjoy it then everyone can get back to hating sawsa

Re: BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
I just dont think this is the best way to address this - there are other things going on which are more likely to get the desired effect, so let's all get behind those initiatives.
There is now a meeting scheduled at SAWSA on 29 Sept which a rep from each club is invited to - clubs to nominate who attends on their behalf I think.
Also of course there is the meeting at TORO's on 30 Sept at 6.30pm, where all clubs are welcome I believe? This is to discuss how to move forward with tryinng to get Toro's re-instated into Prems, but also to discuss how to tackle the other issues about the new league structure which will effect most if not all clubs.

Toros and Campbelltown (all due respect) should not be in Prems. Campbelltown probably a year or so away and with the right recruitment/ development strategies will become a good prems team. Para hills are in the same boat. Toros have not shown much and are playing above their weight. Sorry guys but that's the truth.
Re: BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
SAD GAL, i don't think you improve the development of the game as a whole etc by making judgement on a couple of clubs right to be in the premier league. Those clubs earnt their right to be in the Premier league the old fashioned way, by being promoted. Whether or not right now they have the squad to be competitive or not is a side issue.
Promoted clubs all over the world fight to make their mark on the competition they join. Look at clubs like Stoke and Hull in the EPL. Is the FA thinking of disbanding the EPL because clubs at the bottom can't keep up?? No! If they're not good enough they get relegated again, thats football, promotion and relegation.
The implications of disbanding the Reserves division do not just affect the current crop of Premier clubs. It has association wide consequences right down to Division 4, and everyone has a vested interest in the outcome.
Clubs like Toros, Para Hills and Campbelltown may in you opinion not be good enough for Prems right now but they're surely too good for Division 1, 2 and 3????

Re: BOYCOTT PRESENTATION NIGHT
yeh but toros have a young prems squad and from what i remember only some of them were playing in their div 1 team when we played them last year in cup (well that i recognised anyways) so it would mean that a fair few of the girls playing prems n ressies there would of come straight up from 17s if they have another season i think they would be able to devlop more and become a better team. parahills have come far in the prems they have gone from gettin thrashed week in and week out to becoming more competetive, even the reserves have imporved they went from losing by heaps to at one stage wining 2-0 agenst fulham ressies at halftime before fulham woke up and scored 4 or 5 late goals. as for campbelltown not really too sure how far they have come cause i dont remember them last year
