Post by pulse »

Young u17 NAB Captain Tony Violi is rumoured to play first team next year if the team makes the premier league.

Well Done Tony, this is a huge step in his footballing career.

&. 2 of Salisbury U17's have already played for the 1st team and numerous other players from the team have played reserves and 19's.

And? I played over 35's when I was 42. Is that worth a mention?

Would have been given a go in 19s or reserves this year if it was to happen, just like D'Agostino last year.

NAB U17C had nobody of any skill when I saw them - like watching 13Bs play

This is true, but don't ruin a blokes dream, if he believes he is good enough to play first team next season, then he can achieve it. Anything is possible these days.

Good Luck to him, I know for a fact he declined to play u19s this year just to play 17s, thats a true meaning of a team man.

He should be congratulated! :D

He will not be playing first team next year. A jump from 17C to First team. I don't think so.

He will be playing 19s next year! and might get reserves during the year if he works hard

You don't know that, I know a player who has jumped from u15A to Reserves, so anything is possible.

This player must have had the skill and fitness level to achieve such a jump.

I don't think from what i've seen this player has the fitness level just yet. He may have the skill, but the intensity is higher. So to jump from 17c to seniors it probably won't happen. The player will come up through the 19s and reserves to experience the intensity/skill/physical nature of the higher age groups.

But you are right pulse.

Work hard and promotion to a higher team can be achieveable!

this has happened at NAB before with Paul D'agastino

last season he started the season off playing for 17's by the end of the season he was playing both 17's and reserves, this season he is playing first team.

but in saying this, this player cannot make 1st team as he is physically not fit...with consistant (back) problems.

i believe Matthew Clayton a 16 yr old who plays for the reserves may play a few games for the seniors next year

Yes Matthew Clayton is a quality player,

but personally i see no real point to writing a bunch of irrelevant bullshit about things which can't be predicted and calculated until next year,

hopefully all these boys one day will get a chance at playing first team soocer but i think you need to take a players development step by step

Matthew Clayton's development over the last 2 years has been excellent. I'm sure he will be given a chance to play first team in coming seasons.

Heard from my reliable sources that unsung hero of NAB

Anthony Bavaro might make a return to NAB and play 1st team

if this doesnt eventualate then NAB president might make a dramatic move for LIONEL MESSI...Barca have already rejected the clubs offer of $1000 but might make another offer

A player who could really make it one day is young Mark Busutill. 15 years old been playing 17's for 2 years and is quite advanced in skill and soccer brain for his age.
