Lets Ave It---Vale Champs

Post by Dallas Crane »

Great day for the Vale Sunday (lost a couple of days), huge effort from everyone. When you get a bunch of lads that put the hard yards in and play for the shirt, this is the end result, A grade and C grade Championships, and to give Westies there first loss in emphatic style put the icing on the cake. Well done to them for taking us all the way.
The Vales a proud successful club, we have a hard working committe, and a great chairman. Absolute brilliant support and great crowd numbers evey week. A very experienced coaching staff was the key, Sean Greaves, Derek Williams, Mark Allen, have all won leagues as players and took this into coaching, the results speak for themselves. Great Playing group who work hard for each other.
Also broke the club record over the bar Sun night, and probally broke the record for Mon takings at Old Spot Gawler. Mon sponsor was the number "5".

Congrats to the Vale for their great year. Very worthy champions and finished 5 points clear in the end.

An emphatic win on the final day with a couple of players out from the previous week against a full strength Westies side (probably the strongest Westies side of the year). Set the standard that Westies will need to rise to.

Also lost players like Brooksy and D Nicholls during the year, but other players stepped up.

I'm still feeling a bit rough after Mad Monday but its all worth it for sure.

What a day for the VALE !!
Having to watch the Game from the Bench (due to injury) was a nightmare, just wanted to be out there to be a part of the game. Cheers to Greavesy for letting me get on for the last few minutes to be on the field when the whistle went, much appreciated.
The boys all stepped up and played a great game for 90 mins. Some of the football played was absolutely brilliant and we took control of the game I reckon from start to finish.

PHW had some good patches of play but never really looked like hurting us. Congrats to PHW on their season they have done well and if they can keep their young team together will be amongst it again next season.

Chris Nicholls scored another brace and his last goal was a belter, this takes his tally to an amazing 25. Daryl "Dirty Daisy" Maher scored the first and an own goal made up the 4.
Great win for the Players, Coaches and The Club. Some of the lads have talked about hanging up their boots and will be hard to replace after their stella seasons.

Good work to the lads, Lets Ave It !!!!
At the end of it all there will still be Football !!

Couple more telling factors, Vale scored in every game never read Vale-nil. Conceded 17 goals in first 9 games. Had to be rectified and did with only 5 against in last 9, and no loses in last 9 games, huge run home.
Massive shout out to our defence mechanism, ("mad dog" kokot, Matho, Hotka, Parker, Jacko, "spider" Miller). Ave It Lads, history books...

08 A's Champions
08 C,s Champions
08 Chichinowski winners
good luck to the B,s in the cup

Congratulations to The Vale on winning the League especially Greaves first year as coach...

I only seen them play a couple of times this year but looked the goods with youth & experience in the side, especially against Farmers at Ingle Farm, 2 great goals scored.
We are Liverpool Football Club and the expectations are so high.

Well done Vale. Deserved winners. Definatley the best team we have played against on balance this year. I almost cheered when you guys scored those two unbelievable goals. Pure Class. Dallas Crane will take out player of the year award for sure.

Shows how close the C comp was this year. You guys only took 1 point off of us and we finished 4th I think.

Congrats to the vale s.c. A strong second half of the season that proved they wanted the title more than the rest. Well done westies, you'll be back next year, and wiser for it. For me Chris Nicholls was the catalyst for their continued strength going forward, the guy always finds space at the right time. The winner he scored against us (phe) was nuts, a towering header from a corner in the last 10 of the game. It gutted us but showed who on the ground had the X factor. The second of his 2 on sunday was a fair crack aswell. You new the game was already over but the westies boys must still have thought to themselves WTF???

P.S Wouldn't it be great to see Ad. Utd beat Melb. tonight!!
Come on YOU REDS!!!
:)
....He's sick.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy she knows that he was going with this girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavours last night. Guess it's pretty serious

Congrats to the Vale. Had a great season all up. Everyone would have said they would be up there at the start of the season, but im not sure if anyone predicted them winning it. Deserved winners in the end. You boys just had the knack of winning games you shouldn't have. Thats what it takes to win a championship. Unlucky to Westies though.
Will be an interesting off season as usual no doubt. :( :(
