Congratulations to the Para Hills boys for some of the best banter I've heard all year against some of their old players. Top stuff

Great courage shown by the Gully last night! Draw was the fair result i think, both teams had chances to win it. Two freaky goals scored by the Gully which the keeper could do nothing about. Thanks to the puma boys who stayed behind for a beer, good bunch of blokes!

Went down to watch the game last night and gee was it cold. I came straight from work and I could barely fill my feet by the end of the game. Not a big crowd but when you consider the rain and cold, it wasn't to bad.

Game was of a pretty poor standard but again, wet pitch and cold really made it difficult. Pumas had the play in the first half and deserved their lead. Gullies keeper gifted them two of the goals but Jack did look a class above the Gully defence

In the second half, Gullies went down to 3-1. From there, they settled a bit and maintained possession. Pumas went defensive and looked to fatigue really early in the half. They sat back and you always had the feeling that Gully had 2-3 goals in them. The penatly was a horrible decision and the ref was lucky the player taking it was closer to hitting the corner flag then the goal post. Gully had their sniff and scored two deserved goals. Jack hit the cross bar late but Gully had a few more chances to win it at the end. Pumas play sent off late for his second yellow. Pumas were attacking down the flank and he started abusing the referee. Really stupid play and if I was coach, I would of given him a smack around the head.

All in all, a fair result. Tough game for both teams to play and both seem to struggle with the conditions.

I've noticed Gully doing a few of these Friday night matches. The only advice I would give them is keep it to 2, maybe 3 games a year and against teams that are bigger or you have a rivarly with. It would keep the crowds bigger for those games. Due to it been a cold night, so many would of stay away cause you were only playing Pumas. No offence to Pumas but they are a newer club with a small supporter base so they aren't going to bring the numbers like Inter, Vista etc.

Thats my 2 cents anyway.

Thanks for that Jay Walking, The main reason for Friday Night games is it breaks the monotony of Sundays every week, gives the lads a bit of time to spend with the missus, family, kids, girlfriends, go away fishing :D . But if you play a team on a friday night with a small supporter group then its going to be the same Sunday anyway, whereas on Friday nights you will get the likes of yourself, The East Boys sometimes The Vista Lads and so on turning up. Working quite well at the moment, next year looking forward to having Friday Night games followed by a band or poker night :D , this gets the wives and girlfriends involved with the club aswell. And of course all visitors invited aswell. Perhaps a bit of EPL on fox aswell later on. Have a few bevvies, cause the weekend is freeeeeee !! :D :D :D

As I said, it is a great idea and you guys should be commended for doing it. I think the poker/band would work pretty well to. My only point is dont do it for ever game as the novelty or gloss will wear off a little. Only my opinion :)

Good night out on Friday night. Crowd wasn't huge, but like everyone else has stated it was absolutley arctic conditions. Nothing a few bourbons couldn't fix though! I thought Pumas are a decent team, but they do rely on Jack to do everything. He was one of the only puma players to look dangerous. Gullies have a good young side. Just lacked in someone taking control of the middle of the park i thought. Hass steadied the ship when he came on and made a difference. Gully really should have won that game and would have given them more hope in the race for div1 football.
We gave plenty of banter on the night. It was much better than training!!

Derek Simpson is a great player, with good talent. In the last 12months he lost his willingness to play. Derek should stop getting brainwashed by other peoples bulls$&t, he's a great guy when he wants to but he is also too much of a pretty boy, derek your not just there for looks.
On that point he is also a lazy twat that needs to lift his game. i'd like to see someone challenge him. yeah he goes into tackles hard. Give it back to him. He needs to wake up and see whats good for him. If anyone really wants to stirr him, comment on his girlfriends wig, man voice and buck teeth, she's a real catch. i'm sure he'll love it.

I keep reading all your bullshit about how good he is, then where is his trophy??? further more why is he playing in this division. Can't say i've ever seen the guy play in super league.
Like i said before good at booting the shit out of people but i'd like to see someone tackle him a bit harder.
Unfortunately gullies can't win with princesses in their team.
Jack would have to be a way better player and comments from previous forums would suggest that others agree.
Derek: inconsistent, lazy, lacking discipline and concentration
Jack what can i say all round top player in the div. Keep it up.
More than happy to say it straight to his face, but the fairy princess would back down!!!
