Metro V Sturt Marion

Good to see another good game of football on Friday night. As a general football spectator with no attactment to either team I thought the game was a good one. Sturt took an early lead and looked to have control of the game. Slowly Metro got back into the game and equalised. They then started to look ht emore dangerous. I think htey would have been happy to go into half time two one up but Sturt scored a cracking goal to equalise just before half time.

The second half started a bit like the game had finished in the first half with Metro attacking. Gradually Sturt got back into the game and then took control. This continued until they got what turned out to be the winning goal. Good game but in my opinion in the end a fair result.

i also went to this game with no attachment to either side; first year of playing soccer in Div 4, so a few of us decided to go and watch after recieving the email from Wendy Carter about the game.

Though it was FREEZING cold was awesome to watch, very surprised and impressed with the skill level, both Ressies and First Team were great games, congrats to all who played and put on a great game. Was dissapointed with the turn out of spectators, besides family/friends/players of Sturt or Metro and the 20 kids watching, would have only been around 25 general spectators i reckon.

yeah i agree i tohught there were a lot more ppl to watch our game (fulham vs city) in last months feature game...

if metro had've closed black down from her long shots and if they hadve kept dee on the field they may have had a prett good chance in teh second half...

Artemis = Metro keeper or a defender who feels billy is taking a punt at them.

i was one of the 25 walk ins, watching the game. i didnt see the first goal tho as i was parking my car....

Metro's goals were pretty amazing. Their build up play was good, and they caught out Sturt's defence. but in the 2nd half it looked like theyv didnt want it as much.

Sturt's 2nd goal did look like it came from the defence not marking tightly. but sharon black's goal in 2nd half was actually really good. it looked like it was from outside the box, and she kicked as she turned so she wasnt even facing the goals.
The keeper didnt do anything wrong, i dont think!! the goal was just class.

i would rather play a sick dee than a fit benchy (no offence to who came on for dee)

but if i was the metro coach and i was on track to losing 5 in a row i would be throwing everything out there - which means keeping dee on the park....

lep - that would be like taking you off the field and putting an under 17 gk in goals....

i know none of the metro girls can comment on this but it would piss me off if max continued to drag tanya (harry) most games and some not even play her...

metro could have beat fulham if he started dee off...
i know she was sick that day too but dee is a pretty tough girl (geeeeez shes from the south!!) surely she can play sick - she has done before...

From the way you are going on ..ur implying that she wasnt sick enough to be off the pitch. Maybe you should get facts before making suggestive and antagonising comments about our team.. in which ur opinion is irrelevant as you have little to no idea about metro.

Suggestion - you concentrate on how you plan to beat sturt rather than how we didnt?
after all we have beat them once this year have you?
