Parahills all over Salisbury but couldnt get it in the back of the net

i wouldnt quite say that..

yes para hills did maintain their possession, and i guess u could say "all over" them... but credit to salisbury defence for holding tight...

para hills should have put more in the net but salsibury should have had atleast 1

good game

i was playing for salisbury last night and while para hills did create alot of chances you have to remember that there on top of the first division and have only lost 1 game this year and for a team in the second division to only lose by 2 goals to them is a good effort. And just so you guys know we where missing one of our best midfeilders because he lost half his finger at school and wasnt allowed to play

I watched this game and the Salisbury boys should be holding their heads a lot higher than Para Hills. The Salisbury guys showed what playing with guts and passion is about. It was a real pleasure to watch the so called underdogs take it up to Para Hills and almost cause an upset.

Salisbury should have had a penalty which the ref missed and then created other good goal scoring chances in both halfs. I don't think its Salisbury that should be eating the humble pie.

I watched the Para Hills coach taunt the Salisbury coach before the game as the sides warmed up. I was told by a couple of Salisbury parents that the two coaches are good friends and the Para Hills coach offered a 5 goal headstart per half! - well mate I recon the Salisbury guy got your number and inspired his side. Maybe you should have done the same.

some of you guys should read carefully. The comments are a statement of fact not a whinge and here's another one. After the game a couple of the Salisbury players were spoken to by Para Hills members about moving clubs next season. :clown:

I was at the SU/PH game on friday night...

Considering the difference in match up of teams (PH - Top Div 1 against SU 3rd? Div 3) and the unfair calls made by refs (SU were not given a penalty that was rightfully theirs).
I think Salis United did a great job at keeping the game to such a low score.

The boys of SU showed amazing guts, courage and determination in a game that had them pegged as massive underdogs.
They deserve to hold their heads up proudly.

On a more sour note: I was disgusted by the performance of the spectators of Para Hills SC. Never have i seen such poor behaviour from a club.
Insulting player after player, insulting anyone supporting another club, and throwing things on the pitch while the game was in play...
Now come on, are you really proud of behaviour like that??? I would be embarrassed to have people like that supporting my team! Definately not doing you club proud!

Hang on Sals fan I am a parent and member of the Para Club and I stand with the other parents of the 15s side. We all commented on how well your boys played and clapped them off the field after the game. Dont tar all Para supporters with the same brush. If people threw things on the pitch them yes thats disgusting. I have played and watched many games at your ground and the behaviour of your supporters is at times embarrasing (I hope it wasnt you), I think youll find that every club has its :clown: :clown: :clown:

At no point was i "crying" over the loss.
Yes they were beaten on they day that is a fact that can not be denied...

I was purely stating my opinions... which everyone is entitled to!

And yes there was something thrown on the pitch during the game. It happen right at the end when PH scored their second goal.
It narrowly missed a player, so yes, it did affect game play in a way.
It was reported to the ref but as per usual he took the "i can't do anything about it road"

As i said before, i am not disputing the fact that PH won... Congrats to them... I was merely expressing my disgust in what i saw from PH supporters.

And as someone pointed out, yes SU may have behaved in a similar fashion at other games... but i have been to every SU U15 game this season and not once have our supporters behaved in the way i witnessed on friday.

And yes, both teams were cheered and congratulated when they come off the field at the end of the match... it was what happened before hand that i am talking about. And in particular a group of boys standing around the bbq area!

it would seem very strange if the keeper was spoken to or 'scouted' for next season,
Para hills have thre excellent keepers in 16, 15A and 14A, and if the current 17 keeper doesnt make the 19's next year he would make a fourth keeper trying out for the 17A spot.

sounds like 'storytime' to me!!

your all forgetting about the Adelaide Hills and Adelaide City game.. Adelaide city took the game 1-0 but again.. a close score line between two teams you would say as.. distant achievers.. yes salisbury played well but not well enough and looks like adelaide hills did the same but also didnt play well enough.. good luck to all teams next year... would like to see if salisbury and adelaide hills get promoted and if so see how they go...

the Under 17 game between Hills and AC? 4-0 isn't a close score.
