Adelaide Villa v Sturt Marion (POSTPONED)

Post by Jack Mehorf »

Game has been postponed due to ground condition.

Villa ground (Underwater) being inspected by council today.
Tried to move game to Sturt, there ground apparently was struggling also.
Tried Grange.....Monarchs at home, could not do.

Good luck to everyone else on the weekend.

I'd scribbled down two games each from division one, two and three. That was one of them and I've not seen either side play this season.

postponed - jesus, you lot would never get a game played in England if this little amount of rain calls your games off. Saying that, probably why we end up playing double headers at home. Can remember playing 6 games in a week on many occasions in April.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Interested to hear what's more complicated. From your message it seems, a little bit of rain, your pitch is flooded. Unless a water main has burst next your pitch and the water ran down the road all the way to SM's pitch then I'm out of ideas.

Hawkesy!
Its not complicated. Look on the Southern Breakers website and our pitch is featured on there! Then tell me if you would play on it!
PS- Southern Breakers have a good sense of humour :)

Basically the grounds in Australia generally have poor drainage. A 'little bit of rain' can make the pitch unplayable. Sturt's pitch was unplayable, massive puddles at both ends, not safe for the 'keepers.
