Atleasts Kisnorbo's would have stopped an attack but Holman is just plain S H I T

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
Didn't the same thing happen against China?

what are you talking about? he 'backed' the ball straight to their player and created an attack for themGiggs11_Ronaldo7 wrote:Atleasts Kisnorbo's would have stopped an attack but Holman is just plain S H I T

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
i still shake my head in disbelief about holman being a professional player, i honestly think that i could do a better job than him, he just looks lost

On the other end of the spectrum (in contrast to the fans' love for Nick Carle), Brett Holman has a right to wonder why there is so much hostility towards him, particularly on some of the forums I have visited. For me, his hostility is unwarranted and some of the comments have been downright stupid. I wasn’t at all surprised that he didn’t get too many chances against Iraq. His 1.77cm and is hardly going to take advantage of the numerous poor crosses we put into the box. Some argued that he should be getting onto the second balls. McDonald, a born poacher, struggled to do this. Then there is the ‘he can’t finish’ and ‘all his got is pace’ argument. What chances did he have against Iraq when the whole team couldn’t create anything clear-cut? His one-two with Kewell was a chance he forged for himself and it was a much better chance than what other players created, or failed to create. That chance showed what his game is all about, picking the ball up between the midfield and defensive lines and running at the defenders. If we played a style of football that actually keeps the ball on the ground in the final third, Holman would look much better.

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
Holman is the chink in Pim's formerly sturdy armour... the man is a battler at best. mcdonald has still not had a chance to prove himself, but the man pillaged 25 goals in the scottish premier league and surely must be some sort of player. holman just goes to show that if you are any sort of footballer playing in Holland during the current Australian regime, you'll be picked for australia. having always wanted to represent my country in the green and gold, i am now in the process of booking my ticket to amsterdam, where I will bypass the cafes and usual tourist haunt to merely stop at the first park, play kick to kick with a few locals, and wait for Pim to call.
Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
Holman did well enough v Qatar to suggest he can be a handy player for Australia.
Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
Holman is a classic example of what the modern day coach looks for. Pace and endeavour. They think that skill, vision and distribution can be taught be what Pim doesn't realise is that Holman is garb. How many Italian/dutch/brazilian players do you see running around like a headless chook. He shows no composure on the ball, no skill and definitely no vision. All the attributes that Nicky Carle has, yet why is it that coaches seem to persist with these one dimensional players. I believe the answer lies in the FFA struggling to lure a true International Coach to help develop and mentor a side that needs to add to its already hard working ethics with some skill and attacking flair.

Holeman is rubbish. I think even Archie probably would do a better job.

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
above two posters obviously didn't watch the Qatar game
, got two assists and involved in the buildup play for the first game, if that's what a headless chicken can do, i'm fine with that

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...
I watched and laughed at how many times he tripped over his feet and the ball because as i stated in a previous post he has no "COMPOSURE". Wow a whopping 2 assists, against a team half our size. Not too mention 15 clangers, passing efficiency of 34% and a mis-kick that could've been another goal. If we are serious about being a competitive football playing nation we need to have midfielders at least averaging between 7-10 assists per game with a passing effeiciency of 65%. AKA Pirlo, Asharvin, Modric, Frings, Deco, Iniesta and the list goes on.pch0508 wrote:above two posters obviously didn't watch the Qatar game, got two assists and involved in the buildup play for the first game, if that's what a headless chicken can do, i'm fine with that
