carney

Post by manU4life »

was a joke. his inability to put in a decent ball and his lack of intensity cost the soceroos in this one. so many time he was isolated one v one and would just put in a useless ball on his non preferred peg instead of taking his man to the line.

In all fairness to carney he wasn't the only one who failed to do their job. He was our only out and out left flanker and didn't deliver or play to the formation Verbeek set out. Everytime the ball came to the left he would give a lazy ball into the strikers instead of beating his opponent and whipping in a decent cross. Wilkshire is another casualty!! That bloke did exactly the same thing except he was on the right. Grella stuggled to give us any penetration. Culina moved left to right in the middle of the ground for the whole game passing the ball backwards. Kewell had three defenders on him with no support, so you can't blame him for too much. As for Pim dragging him, Why would you do that??? He's your number one star, you leave him out there to dry and when he decides go with 2 men up front and go for the goal he takes him off??? A lot of questions need to be addressed before this weeks game in Qatar, otherwise we could be facing an uphill battle to qualify.

Its not that the players didn't do their job properly.

I am starting to see a worrying trend here with the national team. I think our style of play under Pim is not one where we will create alot of chances. In our last 5 games we have scored just 2 goals and I can count on one hand the amount of chances we have had in those 5 games.

With Sth. Korea in Asian Cup last year his team scored 3 goals in 6 games. They got 3rd spot but that was with 3 x 0-0 draws that went to penalties.

I hope I am wrong....

Football Australia went out and hired a manager who had a good record in asia.

what a joke.

we play boring football.

we get hammered on the counter attack.

and we have no idea what to do when the ball is up forward, for god sake pim we have kewell, viduka and mcdonald.

now dont put mcdonald down because he hasnt performed, he hasnt been able to because pim plays a bloody ridiculous formation where the ball is comming from all angles.

you dont score 31 goals for celtic if your not a good striker.

we've gone from playing a fantastic brand of attacking and fearless football to a boring defensive style.

i knew we werent going to win in dubai, bresciano on the bench? when theres no cahill or dukes. bresciano on the bench?

your having a laugh pim.
