Deporitvo La Coruna was a very small club before it won La Liga in 99/00 and beat AC Milan 4-0 in the Champions League during the 2003/2004 season. Valencia is hardly a huge club either and they won it in 2003. 9 teams in total have won La Liga as opposed to Serie A where 17 different teams have won it, but why does that make it a better league?? Real Madrid just have a dominance like no other team in a top league can boast.

Oh please, Italy is the same as the Premier League, apart from a 1 off title from Lazio (backed by millions Chelsea style) in recent times it's all Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and AS Roma with Fiorentina making a little appearance this season. If you look at it historically though, one can hardly say La Liga isn't competitve. Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid and Valencia have all won it on more than 3 occassions whilst in Serie A it's much the same, you have Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Genoa, Torino, Bologna....and then a team like Pro Vercelli who no one has ever heard of since. Keep in mind teams like Lazio who buy a championship from time to time can't happen in Spain, we have laws against it (teams hold elections for their presidents but the club still remains the property of the fans)so in Spain it becomes more about the football rather than chairman with the billions of dollars.

Juventino you're absolutely right, except that the fans are what keep football going year in year out, without being able to entertain the fans, football just doesn't exist anymore. An example of when winning isn't as important as the style of football you play is at Real Madrid last year when we sacked Capello, he won, but he didn't do it with style so he was sacked and rightfully so. It's not even how many goals you score. As a fan. I'll pose you a question, as a fan, which would you prefer 1 Zidane goal a la Champions League 2002 or 2 van Nistelrooy tap ins? I can understand if you go with van Nistelrooy because after all in the end 2 goals are better for the result, but which one creates history and which one do people remember?
