Spurred on by Il Duce I thought i'd make a thread for those of us who do wish to speak truths about the Italian national team.

If you wish to NOT bag Italy please shiraz off and direct yourself to the Euro 2008: Italia Thread so WE don't have to read YOUR crap.

I'll kick us off, and i'd like to pose some questions....1. How many dives will Italy have to make to win Euro 2008, 2. How much time will Italy spend defending in it's own half only to run up the field in 1 play and score the winning goal? Any other thoughts on why Italy are the world's most disgusting national team are very welcome.

Haha....yeh I reckon they might just draw Ukraine in the quarters (no easy fete considering Ukraine aren't even in it) who knows they might even draw Australia and rob them in the last minute of the game OR Moggi might just buy some refs and they might not even have to play at all....that would probably be the best case scenario seeing as they'd just bore everyone to death anway.

Not true, Spain has both a Euro Cup, Gold and Silver Olympic medal plus we've won countless more youth Euro and World Championships but if we're not talking youth team than even still Spain has 1 Gold and Silver medal up on Greece (Olympics is officially classified as a senior event despite the rules regarding the age of players).

I've been going for Madrid all my life, so did my grandfather (born in Madrid) and my great grandfather (born in Galicia, although moved to Madrid very early on), my grandpa was even offered a trial with the Madrid youth team but his father said that there was no way and that what my grandpa had to do was work (probably some sound advice considering that the goalkeeper [which was my grandpas position] was Alonso back in the 50's and he was part of our dream team that dominated Europe for 5 straight years)

I googled Spain Euro Titles and it says we won one back in 1964 in fact my grandma's nephew Jesus Maria Pereda scored the opening goal in the final and (now this is debated but our family has always stuck to the theory that he also assisted the second goal). In regards to World titles, all I keep seeing is how Brazil has the most....when I googled it Italy didn't even rate a mention.....go figure???

Well see the thing is Italy isn't at the top of anything. Spain have the greatest club team in the world, and Brazil has the best National team in the world....and at least national teams like Spain, Netherlands, Portugal even England through out their history have played attractive football, Italy has played attractive football on one occassion and that was during World Cup 1990 apart from that all that Italy has been the best at is putting people to sleep, pity they don't have an award for that because that'd give you something else to brag about.

Maradona did nothing in Spain....he was the man in Italy with Napoli but as soon as he comes to a superior league he does nothing even the Barca fans were chanting "Maradona es un Cagagona" or Maradona sh.its himself.

LOL Spain would've won that World Cup had we not been fighting in a Civil War, we would've won the 1934 edition as well had Italy not injured 8 of our starting line up players, we drew 1-1 and then with 8 of our starting line up players out....you could only manage to beat us 1-0, TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINTED.
