Father & Son

Post by swannsong »

Are there any other Father – Son combinations in SAASL A-teams.
So far this year I’ve seen Gary & Scott Price on the field together for Southern Knights in Div 2.
And Shaun & Steve Butler on the field together for Elizabeth Downs in Div 1.

I think that if the butlers play up front together then they will score a boat load between them!!

When did Steve Butler go to the Downs :?:
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

let's hope the son develops into a better player than the hack that is his father. Probably (actually no probably about it) the dirtiest player I have ever played against in australia. I don't mind a hard tackle but I'd prefer the ball to be within 50m when the elbows go flying.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Great work by him, he must only be about 16. Good to see Playford giving their young players brought through the juniors a run in the first team too.

Brothers, Dave Swann, Nick Swann ans Mark Swann have all played in goal for Elizabeth Downs 1st Team (and Juniors).
Other brother Chris Swann played in goal for the Downs at juniors level and his son Dylan Swann played in goal for the Downs 1st team.
Dave, Chris and Nick (half a game when Dave got sent off...) played in goal at some stage for APAC.
Mark graduated from keeping and was the clubs top goalscorer last season in the >35's

At one stage Vista had Scott Simpson and Bert Simpson in the c's, Darrel Simpson (cousin) in the b's and Matt Simpson and Derek Simpson (cousin) in the a's plus Anthony Thomas in b's and Mick Thomas in the a's. Now we occasionally have Stuey Williams and Robbie Williams in a's

I'm not too sure if this can be beaten....
A couple of years ago at the Adelaide Cougars, we had Pasquale Mastrangelo (father), Joe Mastrangelo (his brother) and Elio, Nick and Dion Mastrangelo (Pasquale's sons) all playing at the same time in one of our B grade games. Pretty unique I must say.... :)

i played a few games with my father over a couple of seasons in west beach's B team, i played a couple of games towards the end of each season for about 3 years, one season i think iplayed over half the games as they were struggling to fill the team,
i was 15-17 when i played, my dad 41-43, my brother played a few games aswell i remember 1 specific game against para hills east cant remember what year but all three of us started and played the whole game, made my dad so happy/proud he played a competetive game with his two sons. still brings it up,
(remember that time at para hills east)
