because i have seen some realy bad ones
Re: junior referees
one has to agree that after hearing the comments made to me by the ref on the w/e about team not having correct strip, pitch not marked correctly and interchange being conducted from both sides of the pitch and at any spot along the line.
the statement its ok its just kids game.
FFSA should send these so called refs to have a look at the EDJRA, there is no mistakes regardless of refs age young or old they all do exactly the same rules!

Crikey!! We're only 2 games into the season.
Incidentally, the 2 Refs we've had the last 2 weeks have been very good. I guess that's the yin and yang of it.
Who?... Who is but a form, followed by the function of what... And what I am, is a man in a mask!
Re: junior referees
The ref at Adelaide City vs Para 14a's on Sunday was excellent. Firm but fair. Saw him ref a firey 17's Cup game last year Metro vs A. City and he was very good then too. Well done mate.
Re: junior referees
not to say there is no good refs out there, i'll take the good with the bad but more importantly lets get everyone to the same level.
teach all players to show respect to the refs and you will have the same being returned, the guy's and girls who do the roles have the right to change the game they want, which in all cases should be of the highest possible level.
Last Year E&D brought in new rules for the refs and player conduct all clubs/coaches were told, that made talking to the ref or disputing on game day a no no, and they didn't compromise the rules or heavy fines would follow. (they had young kids being intimidated)
surprise how many parents, players and coaches settled down almost overnight and the comp was even better for it and was more professional.
the FFSA could do it, they just need to be harder on the law breakers and have a zero tolerance.

Re: junior referees
Theres always gonna be bad referees around..but there are some fairly decent ones as well.
Guess you've just gotta take the good with the bad..It's not ideal, but it's not the end of the world.
Young referee in charge of our game today handled the game really well, even with a brawl. Issued two red cards, to the right people and got on with the game. Well handled as far as I'm concerned.

Both believe it or not. When opposition coaches apologise for the referees' performance.....then there is no more to be said.
Re: junior referees
out at gawler on saturday morning, the young lad who took a couple games in a row was pretty good. made some odd decisions but couldnt really look back and complain TOO much

Thought so, also saw a penalty given on the weekend (sunday) where the coach shrugged his shoulders at being given a penalty but also saw a penalty not given (friday night) that was perplexing to say the least when the ref re-started with a drop ball outside the penalty area.
Geez, who'd be a ref

Was u at both games ?
Shame really, they need more ref's and, above all, the young ones need a mentor to watch over them. I actually feel a bit

Wot chance do they have of hearing a positive comment about their sibling

Assuming they have parents of course

Only kidding there.

dont apologise, refs dont have feelings nor do they have souls, they spawn here on earth with nothing more then intent to annoy the shit out of football players lolBarney Rubble wrote:jIMMYgRIMBLE wrote:barney, that ref on frinite who did not award the pen and started with a drop ball also needed an escort of the pitch that nite afta the 14's game was the same ref that ref's rabbitt's game!!

Re: junior referees
Was a very poor performance and very interesting if it was the same ref at both games....no green top though so can't be considered a beginner....needs plenty of training though....jIMMYgRIMBLE wrote:yes was at both gameswe all make mistakes but he must be in contention 4 the graham poll award this season
