HELLENIC SUPER LEAGUE 30/1

Mid-week games 30/1 in the Hellenic Super League.

Olympiakos have the easiest game of the big 3 away to lowly & struggling 15th placed Kalamarias. Should be an easy victory for the Reds of Piraeus.

AEK face cross town rivals Panionios at The Olympic Stadium. Even though the Nea Smyni team are in 6 place. AEK should win easily by 3 goals.

PAO are at home to very dangeous surprise packet of 4th placed Astreas Tripolis. Last time in Tripoli Astreas beat the Greens 1-0. Expect a close game with a 1-0 win for PAO.

All 3 teams will win and comfortably.
Tripoli and the Gatoules are crap away from home.

Next Sat, AEL-AEK, PAO-Veria, Paninios-OSFP. PAO to end that matchday top.

mmm not sure, but im guessing cause the archbishop of greece died. they had his funeral today, all public servants were given the day off in greece... i think it may have something to do with this

Archbishop of Greece passed away, his funeral was Thursday - hence the delay.

The games that were supposed to be played overnight (Thurs Greece time) that were delayed due to the fires are taking place this weekend.

The games that were supposed to be played this weekend are TBA for now, probaly a midweek fixture inbetween CL/UEFA Cup matchdays.

Sorry for asking.

But now that i've found a new expert on Hellenic affairs i have 2 questions i can't find answers for:
Why did the Greek 2nd Div have a 2 month break from Nov 11 to Jan 12.

Why is there an Olympiakos Volos in 2nd Div & also in 3rd Div North.

Oh please enlighten me.

the clubs were on strike due to the federation and superleague not dispursing funds to the lower leagues.

The real OSK Volos was promoted to 2nd division last season.
The other one Olympiakos Ethnikos Volos i cant explain.
