Well boys you can end the speculation once and for all. He is staying at Villa full stop............. It just goes to show that money counts for nothing when you weigh it all up. It's hard to take a champion bloke away from a champion club. Good on ya mate!!!!.

if he is not on the commitee whats the deal with him being the driving force behind the club. what do the commitee members do. a lot of other very good players at the club as well. rick must be at least 36 yo? by now.

You don't need some title to be a leader, some people are active rather than reactive, he is mostly responsible for bringing a lot of those guys. A lot of what has been done would'nt have been, if it was'nt for a lot of his work behind the scenes. 33 years young, is age an issue or is it just a question?

no issue. the guy can play and should be playing higher than where he is but just suggesting the club should focus on the younger guys

He played/coached Villa to a Sunday Div1 championship only 2 years ago. Villa went to a Sat comp this year for whatever the reason, unfortunately dropping us out of the lime light for a while, but sometimes you need to take a step backwards to go forwards. We still had a side strong enough to be competitive in Sun div 1 this year. We have a great group of young kids coming through which will only be enhanced by having someone like that to play with.

Cerrachio is a terrific bloke off the pitch and the young guys look up to him. Yes, he is a MUCH better player and should be playing in a better competition, but the guy is an honest and loyal person to the VILLA. He is not in the committee at present but has been the driving force for the club, and without his tireless effort and committment to Villa, the club would of struggled in DIV 1 on sunday.
I have always had respect for the man they call "Ciacc", but his loyalty, vision and work ethic has made me and others at Villa appreciate the man even more.

Thanx Rick for staying with Adelaide Villa.
Div 2 Saturday in 2008 will be harder, but more exciting and hopefully rewarding!

Just for the record Pontians Player and good mate to "Ciacc" asked if he was interested and he tought about it and said no. Money was never going to be the issue. As the saying goes if you dont ask you dont know. Good luck to Villa in 08 and I wouldnt be suprised if you see a Pontians/villa pre season trial.

And that is fair enough golden eagle, you never no unless you try. I have a good idea that it wasn't his only offer aswell so it's great for Villa he's decided to stay.Wish you guys the best of luck in Div 1 next year and it'd be great to play you guys again at sometime.

Jack Me Off is in charge of the Ciacc website, so u need to speak to him about that.
As far as thw AV website goes, thats Ang's fault. We have mentioned to him , MANY times before about it, but Have not had any luck!
