South Adelaide Panthers
Can any1 tell me what is going on at Sth Adel panthers? the club seems to be held together by a thread.
Romour has it that a new senior coach has been appointed for 2008 with no notification or explanation given to his predecessor.
Rumour has it that the committee are telling coaches they must include certain players in their squads irrespective of skill and ability.
Rumour has it that the junior coaches are not to get paid for next season, this is risky business. The club will end up with second rate coaches teaching kids bad habits. I thought the junior squads were the future of the club.
Player fees up by over $100 in some cases from last year, with nothing extra being offered in their kits.
The future doesn't look bright down south. :?

Re: South Adelaide Panthers
Junior Coaches shouldn't have to get paid so why is it risky? Are you suggesting that Coaches who don't get paid are second rate? Careful you don't open a can of worms with that sort of crap comment.football fan wrote:Can any1 tell me what is going on at Sth Adel panthers? the club seems to be held together by a thread.

Payment for coaches, if that is the incentive a coach needs then someone get me a rifle.
Read Brian Cloughs autobiography, it is about the PASSION FOR THE GAME.
unless the 'bung' is big enough
As for the Panthers, give them a chance, people in glass houses should not throw stones
Wait a year and then see what comes of it, sure if you are right then look back and say "told you so" if you are wrong then no ice cream for you on your humble pie.

Barney.....I would think it's very much a case of Seniors changing clubs because they like the coach.....Michael Petrillo is a perfect example of a coach that attracts players that want to play under him.Barney Rubble wrote:Good on yer,![]()

Petrillo promises players a look in at Adelaide United thats why they follow him like sheep, huge conflict of interest. Sad how one day he committed to stay at Galaxy telling the President then the next was lured by the almighty $$$$$.Hollygirl wrote:Barney.....I would think it's very much a case of Seniors changing clubs because they like the coach.....Michael Petrillo is a perfect example of a coach that attracts players that want to play under him.Barney Rubble wrote:Good on yer,![]()

As for the Panthers, it's been all downhill since Llye left & unfortunately for them it'll continue. Just look at the quality of their teams compared to 4 years ago. They use to be the best Junior club in the deep South.
