Everything that's wrong with football
Encapsulated in this Man Utd v Chelsea game.
A contest ruined by a terrible sending off decision.
Two teams trying to cheat each other into oblivion.
Managers / Assistant Managers slagging off 4th Officials
The Crimson Snide just screaming "That's a red card" 2 minutes after Rooney would have walked if the ref wasn't the biggest homer since the Iliad.
All lapped up by 70000 fans, a TV public and all round the world fans...

She's not really into gossip shows, but home shows maybe. If they had a Japanese channel she'd be trying to sell it to me.MUFCBOY wrote:jst tell her bout oprah, the soapies, sex n the city, the craft shows and home shows.... then ull get it... they play durin the day so u can enjoy the socca at nite

you remind me of Frank Lopez in Scarface pleading for his life just before Tony gets Manolo to kill him.

i agree it was a stupid challenge and deserved a red and one of the commentators even said that toLFTWNG11 wrote:am i the only who thinks if Mikel could have caught Evra more, he would of, therefore dont see anything wrong with that dirty bastards red?!?!?
it was just stupid to go in for a tackle like that not to mention it sent little old evra about a metre in the air and joe cole's was as bad if not worse but then ashley cole gets a gust of wind near him and falls over
I speak nothing but the truth

Man Utd v Chelsea
Diving,simulation is nothing more than cheating and is a blight on the modern game.
Time has come to crack down, the EPL and other major leagues need to start using a video review panel to issue after match yellow cards for offenders. In addition could be used to clear names of red cards and issue reds for incidents missed by the referee.
Time to clean up the game.
Another aspect that annoys me is the ganging up on referees when a decision is made, time to bring in some form of penalty maybe 50 metres ala AFL.
Managers generally only complain about the penalties given against them, or the one the ref misses, how often do they say we got a penalty we didn't deserve?
Answer almost never.

imo the only one the ref got wrong was not sending off joe cole
mikels was a clear red , 2 feet off the ground when tackling = red , simple really , its a potential leg breaker , just dont do it
the penalty was a clear penalty , ben haim kicked saha in the penalty area
that = a penalty
ok so saha made it clear he had been fouled , there is no law against that ,
simulation is only when there is no foul
the fact is he WAS fouled
there is nothing wrong with the game
it's just the media sensationalizing to sell more copy

Saha got kicked did he?!?! have you actually watched the incident... or you just passing judgement, it must be latter, cos im guessing ur blind not stupid!
If you read the match report and seen the incident properly... Saha got the penalty for an apparent arm across the face, which turned out to be the tip of Ben Haim's fingers grazing his face... Saha made a meal of it and won the penalty.... stock standard in modern day football.

OK SO CONTACT WAS MADE THEN???
ERM PENALTY!!!!!

If only chelsea had a midfielder like Elano to create something going forward, they looked lame in attack! All thier midfielders are specialised in is playing balls with thier backs to goal!
United were so-so, if they continue to play in this manner they aint got a hope in hell in Europe!! Good sides aren't just going to give the ball back all day. Carrick hit two good long balls, so what, he's still just an average player.

Agree w/ RigoniRigoni 10 wrote:what should have happened
Mikel= no red card
J.Cole= red card
Penalty= should not have been given
SIMPLE!!!
If you watch the Mikel incident, it is a 50/50 challenge, he gets his foot on top of the ball so as to cut, and there is no wrong done by either party really. Just two blokes trying to win a ball that is within the rights of both to challenge for.
At the end of the day Chelsea did nothing to deserve any points, so 3 to United is fair no matter what transpired in the game. Did nothing but defend after the red card when the game was there to be won.
Really missing Jose already. He would have had the guts to make changes at half time and get the team fired up. Grant made like-for-like substitutions, not more attacking options at sacrifice of midfield or defense like we needed.
