Spurs set to complete Bent/Smith double
Darren Bent looks set to complete his £14m switch from Charlton to Spurs in the next 48 hours.
And Manchester United striker Alan Smith could join at White Hart Lane after snubbing a £6m move to Middlesbrough.
That would be shiraz awesome, defoe to leave this season maybe the scum can sign Roy Makaay since klose is in at Bayern

losing Defoe will hurt Spurs, but if they gain both Bent and Smith that should ease the pain somewhat -
Blue is the color, football is the game.
2006/2007 EPL runner up
2006/2007 Champions League Semi-Finalist
2006/2007 FA Cup winners
2006/2007 League Cup winners
and still considered 2006/2007 to be an un-successful season

I think Defoe is the better technical footballer, but I think Bent would be far more productive. At the end of the day, we just want someone that can score goals and that's what he'll provide. Defoe hasn't really improved since we signed him.
Though it is pleasing to read that Defoe wants to stay and earn his spot.
Not too fussed about Smith coming. Never rated him that highly. If its Defoe and Mido out and Smith and Bent in, then I guess we'll be better off but not sure by how much.
And I thought Makaay was off to Feyenoord?

disagree ..Rigoni 10 wrote:Mackaay is off to Feyernoord as Lefty said
i think Darren Bent will prove what a waste of money he is this year for whoever will sign him
i think Alan Smith wouldn't be a bad signing for the scum but i think Defoe, Keane, Berbatov and Smith would be the best four
bent is a regular goal scorer, even tho he play for sh1t club !!

yeh u got a point....but i don't think he will be able to shine at a better club who have more strikers....he was the go to man for Charlton and he scored a lot of penalties....berbatov is spurs so i he wont be as good at scumronaldo07 wrote:disagree ..Rigoni 10 wrote:Mackaay is off to Feyernoord as Lefty said
