Club websites

Post by anfieldboy »

I enjoy searching around the place for Amateur club websites. More often than not you can't find them from a Google and the SAASL website I'm sure does not have all the information from all the clubs.

its good havin a read of other clubs websites, stats, match reports etc but quite often they are not ever updated or very infrequently.

let us know your club's website, if it has one so we can put them all to the test and decide which club has the best or most consistent.

From what I have seen so far, Adelaide Villa, MSSC Blue Eagles, Old Ignatians and FC Adelaide have pretty decent sites with lots of info and are well laid out...

post your links...

Impressed with that one. Even match reports by one of the players for both reserves and first team games. Very impressive work

Robbo does a super job with the Farm website. It easy to create a website but very time consuming to it well maintained and up to date which Robbo does very well.

He also does a great job with the end of season count night presentation, makes the Brownlow look second rate.

Keep up the good work Robbo.

yeah I am finding the same problem with the MSSC Blue Eagles website. I have been working late for the past few weeks and haven't had time to update it.

I am a couple of weeks behind at the moment
I need to think of a decent signature....

It's good to see some clubs start to realise the benefits of a professional looking website. The problem is always keeping it up to date as it takes time to do. Robbo in terms of content leads the way for Ingle Farm, can't say I'm a big fan on the site layout but you can only do so much with green and white!

the downs website has an excellent history of many amatuer clubs

a lot of the regulars would have seen it already but for those newer forumities who may not have seen it , it is here

http://users.picknowl.com.au/~mswann/saasl.html

someone has spent a lot of time on research
it's well worth the read

I believe they are the club histories printed in the 2004(?) SAASL yearbook to commemorate their anniversary.

Hmm... SexPanther. Who have we here I wonder.

Anyone who can appreciate Il Postino must be a good guy.

I've even seen him juggle the ball with his tongue.

He was a no show at training on Tuesday for the first time ever! Defo fear the worst. Sad, sad day

Thanks for the kind word lads...

Happy to put the ladders up early on a Sunday nite for all, thing is I need ALL THE RESULTS POSTED HERE so I can do it, otherwise you'll have to wait for the SAASL site. So make sure you get them here early on Sunday nites and I will do it - only takes 5 minutes!

Vista - nice site, your on your way, we started out with similar 4 years ago.. good starting point, never delete any of your stuff - save it somewhere - and when you do rebuild down the track.. you have your material. As I have learnt ..you gotta walk before you run.

Athelstone - I bein a Gers supporter cant stand green and white neither, but yeh.. what do ya do?? Our design is functional and it works.

I actually like Fulham's layout the most, wish I'd thought of that with your match reports layout, would save me a hell of a lot of time..

All clubs should have a website

Robbo... I have just had a look at your site. It's great to see all the tabels on one page instead of clicking on them individually like you have to on the SAASL site.
