TTG may be the first team in the history of our great game to be relegated after clearly dominating every game of the year..... how unlucky is that!?

Robinfriday10, you must walk under a ladder or root a black cat before every game because for some reason the other team arses a goal against play every week... damn those bastards.

A's Elizabeth Vale 2-2 USC Lion
B's Elizabeth Vale 2-2 USC Lion

A's - Tale of two halves. We played really well first half going 2-0 up, unlucky not to be three. We went in at half time confident we could reproduce our recent second half displays. Credit to the Vale who fought back hard in the 2nd half and as a result the game opened up alot more. Both teams had chances for the winner, including brooksy, who was left unmarked in the box with minutes left, only for him to blast wide (i would of put my house on him scoring). All in all it was a tough game, both teams would be kicking themselves as they didnt play a full 90mins of football.

EAGLES 0 KNIGHTS 0
HARD WORK AND A BIT OF LUCK ON KNIGHTS PART.. GOOD TEAM EFFORT THO FROM THE BOYS. THE FIRST HALF BELONGED TO EAGLES - AFTER A FEW CHANGES KNIGHTS HAD A LOT MORE OF THE PLAY.. ESPECIALLY THE LAST 15 MINS.
I DONT KNOW HOW MANY PONTIANS PLAYERS HAVE CHANGED SINCE THE LAST TIME WE MET - BUT THEY ARE A LOT BETTER SIDE THAN THEY WERE THEN.
NO PITCH INVASIONS AND BOTH TEAMS PLAYED IN GOOD SPIRITS.. EVEN THE PONTIAN CROWD WERE GOOD.

Bad day for the 3 out of 4 teams today, the reserves never looked like they were in the game until 'Ole Gunnar Sherman' stepped up with a goal
The A's pretty much controlled the game against a determined Bulldogs, a great 1st halgf performance though by us saw us go in 3-1 at half time.
Great hospitality from the doggies and both games played in good spirits.
Cheers for the beer Canine, best of luck for the season but I reckon you will be ok.
See you next season
Thanks Carra, hope your right mate about us playing against each other next year but we will need everything to go right for us in the remaining games. Thought we played okay in patches again today but conceeded that 3rd goal just at the wrong time. Thanks to the Vista lads for hanging around for a few beers after the game, another game v vista played in good spirits this year. "Chestnut" scored a cracker from Vista today from 50 yards out, dont let him relive the story and tell you it was any further out tho (had to laugh tho when he fell over durin his celebration :) )

P.S - carra23 was seen leaving the Vista changerooms post game with an empty carton of Curly Wurlies!.
Chestnuts goal was at least 65 yards out  and lets not forget mr footballs quality header to make it 2 - 0.

Only two player changes from the last game against Knights. Pontians should have put away their chances in the first half but didnt and the Knight did get into the game in the second. Good point for them and West Beach go top on goal difference.

Interesting to see TTG lose to Raptors. Raptors are a good team and might of had a bad day against us the other week but have heard that a few players have moved on from TTG. Will be a big game against them this week and the Pontian boys hope the Knights can do to West Beach what they did to us yesterday.

By the way It was good to see the Knights coach have a little common sence as a Pontians player who played against Knight last time, didnt have his card yesterday(misplaced by the commitee) and a few people from the Knights didnt want him to play. They had his driver licence and player rego number and still didnt believe he was who he was saying he was until Maxy said "Thats Hara Ive played with this bloke. lets play"
Well in Maxwell.

Well said GE many people have written crap about him this year "don't you know who I am etc?" He is very passionate during the game as every good coach should be, however he is also very humble - I have only heard him talk about his playing days once (after quite a few on the FA Cup Final night) I talk more about my goals for the Division 2 Reserves than he ever would!

you should ask hiom about the bet he lost when Man U lost the fa cup final one year. There are photos to prove he is a man of his word. :D

If you consider long balls from the defence that went out out of play that we had to fetch before restaring game as "time in possession" they yeah you guys definately dominated play. :D :D

In all seriousness, thanks to the gully boys who always bring a crowd and were good enough to come into the bar for a chat and a beer, well done boys all the best for the remainder of the year.

Cmon it was a cracker, but 65 yards out! at our ground that would mean that he was 9 meters inside his own defense half!, by the time your 40 yrs of age Chestnut and telling your grandkids the story will be that it was a volleyed goalkick you took

well theres been some debate with Happy Kopite cos he reckons that his goal kick went 60m-65m, was flicked on 15m then found my foot, being 65m out myself, so in our theory, your ground is 150m long.........didn't seem like that during the game! ill meet you half way and say 35m which from memory was around about the mark

Had some poor referee's this year, but must say that Sunday's referee was excellent - firm from the first whistle and kept control didn't miss much - wish he had refereed the first game as I'm sure the trouble wouldn't have happened

Last two games, we've had decent refs and a linesman. The Linesman is usually a teenager, but i reckon its good. Lets hope we encourage the young lads as they will be the ones reffing our games in the future.

Looks like the amateur league is starting to address the ref issue.

Must have been a full moon or something yesterday, as our ref was excellent aswell. Had him a couple of times this year and he's been great. But then our game was played in good spirits anyway.

If the Pumas v TTG game gets awarded to TTG, it drops Pumas down to 10 points so there is a slight hope especially if they beat Vikings on Sunday

Golden Eagle, we never doubted who the player says he was..thats NOT the issue here and it never was yesterday.

The issue is, and I will state it again, the Amateur League issue player passes and stamp/punch them accordingly as each player registers for the year. If your club cannot produce the pass at the start of the game, how are we to know if the player is REGISTERED, not who he says he is. He could have brought his mum to the game and his local priest could have vouched for him, but if he can't prove to us by showing his current players pass that he IS A REGISTERED PLAYER are we supposed to take your word for it ?

So what if Maxi knows who he was, that doesn't prove anything other than that Steve knows him. By your clubs own admission, his card was with the league because he'd been sent off a few rounds ago. How are we to know if he still isnt suspended. Thats why we have player passes that the league keep while he's suspended. Can you see what i'm saying here ? Its quite simple really, if he's not suspended present his card...if his card is lost , replace it, just don't try to insult our intelligence by trying to present his drivers lisence as proof of current registration with the S.A.A.S.L.

I hear what your saying but do you honesty think that we would play him if he wasnt registered? How silly would we look. We might of got away with it for that game but word would of been spread like wideflower and it would of tarished our club that the current commitee have worked so hard to build up. Im not saying that you were wrong to question it, I was just pretty much saying well done to Maxi cause he sorted it. I dont think that particular player affected the result one way or another anyway.

By the way, next week check to see if West Beach have registared Johnny Manca!!! :D

yep, its gonna be real hard for sure but in my opinion they play good football and with 6 home games still to play if they get the luck of the ball who knows!
I'm backing them.

Did you play? Your 12-0 prediction was close! Most of the Pontian B Players were good blokes only 1 or 2 - if you played could probably guess who you were, I'm tipping you were watching your uncle or something as there didn't appear to be any 16 year olds playing!
