Mourinho reveals: I could have quit Chelsea

Post by Pimpong »

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed how close he came to walking out of Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho admitted in the News of the World: "I'm at one of the most glamorous clubs in the world, one where every manager wants to work and every agent wants to get their client in.

"We reached such a ridiculous situation that there were 14 coaches linked to my job last season.

"It was a crazy time and if it hadn't happened in a period when I was in a mature state of mind within myself, I may have ended things at Chelsea.

"I'm a coach with a lot of experience and maturity, although I'm not old.

"I believe that in a different stage of my career it would have affected me in a different way and it would have pushed me to take another kind of decision.

"Instead of now preparing a new season for Chelsea, I would be preparing it somewhere else."

The special one really is the King of getting what he wants isn't it. is mind games are superb and has taken the level that wenger and ferguson had and upped the ante beyond all belief.

A superb manager and a superb thinker.

I agree Hawksey...........Jose is clever at playing these types of games. The new season will be worth the wait.
Blue is the color, football is the game.
2006/2007 EPL runner up
2006/2007 Champions League Semi-Finalist
2006/2007 FA Cup winners
2006/2007 League Cup winners
and still considered 2006/2007 to be an un-successful season
