Kaka - is he as good as the HYPE makes him out to be?

Post by Rodger-k »

A question in two parts.

1. After watching this mornings match I'm beginning to wonder if the HYPE surrounding this exceptional talent called Kaka is greater than his ability.

2. Would his talents make him a GREAT player in the EPL, after all many good players don't shine in the EPL as they have in Italy and or Spain.

What a stupid statement to make. He may not have had the greatest game, but he was involved in both goals. Won the free kick which Pirlo took & Inzaghi deflected in; and he provided the killer pass for Inzaghi to round Reina.

Could have said the same about Gerrard after the game as well ...

Mascherano did a great job of hounding him until he was subbed off, Kaka only needs 30 seconds to turn the game on it's head and that is what being a champion is all about. His thru ball came because the 'pool defenders backed off thinking he would run at them, he had the skill to notice the space open up for Inzhagi (sp) and split the defence.

He is a great player and congratulations to ACM on their victory, see you next year for another clash.

u cant deny that he is a champion. He makes an impact when ever he plays for milan and brazil. Not only did he setup the 2nd goal with a thru ball to inzaghi in the final, he is the champions league top scorer and he's a match winner! He does it time and time again for both club and country and on big games too. Would he perform at his current standard in the epl if he were to make the move? I think he could but its a hypothetical. If he gets settled in and adapts to the speed and style of the epl, and is played in a similar role to that as he does for milan, etc then I dont see why he cant.

Kaka did get involved and helped Milan really well, he relaxed this game and he still played well, if he scored those chances he had he would have been in for a thriller but he did well, well done Kaka.

Yeah the likes of shevchenko don't shine because EPL is fucking bomb it long and run. AC MILAN SLOWED THE GAME down and dictated it on their terms. And look how well they did it, they took the sting out of the game. Excellent, Serie A and Spain much more skillfull and more tactically sound than EPL.

Thanks everyone, Interesting though.

Sometimes the 'HYPE' around a player builds up so that we expect him to perform at a certain level every time he walks on the park.

I'm not saying Kaka didn't perform this morning but i have seen him absolutely take teams apart as he did against Man U but today he just had a solid match, nothing special......thats what I thought.

At that level I expect midfielders to put through the killer passes and to win free kicks on the edge of the box, so he didn't stand out for me. I thought Gerrard had an ordinary game as did Reise [sp] but thought Alonso played better than he has recently.

Still the best team won on the day.....enjoy the moment all you ACM fans, I know I will when Chelsea win it for the FIRST time.

Kaka is just too good, Milan should extend his contract until 2020 as far as I'm concerned.

Kaka' - best player in the world right now. mascherano did a very good job but he still had moments of class like that turn and when he set up inzaghi. 10 goals this CL campaign makes him milan's most crucial player by far

Kaka is better than the hype because the hype is so underrated...

People say Ronaldinho this and that... but when you come down to something like this...

He is that good that I have actually come to believe that Ricardo kaka is the second coming of christ.

He has chosen the path of footballer because it is the greatest of all the sports & he is therefore able to spread the word of the lord to a large passionate audience.

In concluding..Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite(kaka) is God in human form.

& yes, i realise he plays for the Red&black DEVILS.

MilanManic i believe KHR was merely pointing out the irony of a (what he considers to be) 'god like figure' playing for a team nicknamed ‘diavoli’

The Fossa dei Leoni can go screw themselves, as they are now defunct.
