Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Salisbury Inter is delighted to announce Lewis Vallelonga has been appointed Women’s Senior Premier Head Coach for Season 2018. Lewis holds a current FFA B Licence and joins the black and blue after being mentored under Ross Aloisi and Paul Pezos and assisting Hull City Women in England in 2016 whilst playing for Hull as a professional player, and most recently coached U18 boys at Port Pirates.
The club is excited to announce the appointment of Tracey Jenkins and Adrian Santrac as assitant/mentors to the head coach role, sharing the vast knowledge and extensive experience both have gained coaching Elite level football over many years.
We are pleased to welcome back Alasdair Rogers for Season 2018 taking on the WNPL Reserves coaching role. Assistant coaches will be announced at a later date and trial information will be released shortly.

Salisbury Inter must be really serious at giving the WNPL a fair tilt. As is White City. The fight for promotion and relegation will be hotly contested in 2018.
Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Wasnt Tracey Jenkins in charge of women's teams at White City??? How can she be appointed at Salisbury Inter???

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Why does a bloke who's coached already at a much higher level need 2 mentors?

I have no idea. Do you always answer a question with a question?rossonero wrote:How did he go at Pirates u18s last season?God is an Englishman wrote:Why does a bloke who's coached already at a much higher level need 2 mentors?

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
If you do some research and have seen him in action you would be able to answer my question and realise that getting mentored by Jenkins and Santrac would be very good for him and the club as it looks like he didnt learn much from the mentoring of Aloisi and PezosGod is an Englishman wrote:I have no idea. Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
He's coached Hull City Wome s, I'd have thought he should be the mentor.

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Is Hull City Women's team equal to a W-league side or WNPL Level?

I thought the article said he played at Hull, does not mention he coached at Hull.
All WNPL coaches had to start somewhere, that is how they become WNPL coaches

That says to me he's already been at a higher level than where he apparently needs two mentors. What level have his mentors coached at?assisting Hull City Women

my apologies, excuse me while I just go to spec savers .
I would guess Hull would be between W League and WNPL standard.

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Hull City women play in the fourth tier of the English womens competition. They play in the Northern WPL Div 1. There are 48 clubs playing in leagues above them.

I'd have thought a young man who assisted at that level, would welcome being mentored by the former Matilda coach as well as a 30 year plus coach & player,
Notwithstanding I applaud he appointment of these mentors as if nothing else it will fast track his local knowledge by people who have been there and done that at the highest level available to them.

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
I think it is a ridiculous debate. Well done to Inter to tale a gamble on a young coach and well done on having the foresight to get two very experienced coaches to help mentor him.
Good luck Lewis and Salisbury Inter

Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL Coaching Appointments
Agreed Gee_Kay. The comp is at a level where we need the best coaches coming on board. Cannot go backwards and if there is an opportunity for this type of "cross club" support/involvement then I'm for it. I'm sure there is a risk with this however, let's just hope the people involved are there for the right reasons. For mine, I'm certain they are.
