Incidentally, I was told about this about a month ago. If the rest happens, Joe Root to take over.

The rest of what I have been told. There was two parts to it.Wayne Kerr wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:Incidentally, I was told about this about a month ago. If the rest happens, Joe Root to take over.
Rest? He quit!
Part One: Cook has just resigned
Part Two: Root has taken over
Those on my facebook will know I posted this about a month ago.
I wouldn't expect him to have a rest at all, I would imagine he will continue as an opening batsmen but not skipper the side.

I would never friend someone I have no mutual interests with.

I'd need an even bigger house if I got a medal every time I was right.

You certainly could. I used to live on an exclusive Victorian colonnade. I would visit the Victorian side of the town and "take the waters".Stitch This wrote:Some might even say 'gentrified'God is an Englishman wrote:I have told you MANY times, I come from a very salubrious area.

I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I think it will. Hales as wellozzie owl wrote:Be interesting to see if the recent event has an impact on Stokes Ashes selection.

Possible broken hand would rule him out of 4 tests, not to mention the other side of things which may see him unable to travel.

Re: Aussies Claim Another Pommie Victim
From what I've seen I don't see the big deal. Stokes had 3 blokes round him and one of them had a smashed bottle.
Why's he the bad guy for hitting them?

Always the "celeb" will be made to look guilty. Mind you being out late on the piss is asking for trouble these days with so many "heroes" around.God is an Englishman wrote:From what I've seen I don't see the big deal. Stokes had 3 blokes round him and one of them had a smashed bottle.

Re: Aussies Claim Another Pommie Victim
That appears to have been against team rules which I think will lose him the Vice Captaincy. You're right as well about being out and about late at night is "asking for trouble" for a bloke in his position. Shouldn't be, but we know it is.Bomber wrote:Always the "celeb" will be made to look guilty.
