Round 1 Tips

Post by billy the kid »

West Adelaide (1) vs Adelaide University (5)

Cumberland United (0) vs Metro (7)

Campbelltown (2) v Salisbury Inter (3) Hopefully MJ remembers it’s the real football and not pick up and handball the ball.

Adelaide City vs Fulham Postponed

Just noticed Dragana K is listed for both Westies and Uni….??? WTF

WA 3 v Uni 3
Uni-no Harvey in goals (even playing? saw her playing AFL in team photo), Uni score lots but concede lots

Cumberland 0 v Metro 5 (plus 5 near misses)
Metro squad list  wow awesome

Campbelltown 1 v Inter 2
could go either way, flipped a coin for the winner

wild guesses really, not seen any trial games.

Not a bad assessment. Early season form albeit important can be deceptive in that some teams do take a while to get going however, early results do go a long way to firming up a top 4 spot. I think however, a top 5 is the way to go.

Let's roll on 2017.

Mr Red....You give us your ins and outs first.

Just looked through the squad and read out loud and kept repeating to myself.
She has played W league, she has, she has and she has, lots of experience there. 8)

If anything it looks stronger to me- and the core of that side has been together for a long time- that kind of continuity helps.

I Scalzi not listed either. Must still be injured from W League.

Formidable squad indeed.

Mate I was wrong with my tips. Some BIG scores. And surprising results...Metro with only 1 goal? Westies with 5 and the two newly promoted teams hitting it out for season 2017 in the WNPL Premiers league with Salisbury putting on a clinic.

As they say the first few rounds can provide surprising results and can be misleading however, Westies have shown that they WILL be a force to be reckoned with. Brilliant passages of play. Negated the influence of Cote and Excellent recruits with Willacy in goals being one of them. Metro looked well below par and the 1-0 result attests top that.

Campbelltown will have their first hit out against a prems team this Friday night against Fulham who have yet to play a game for season 2017. It will be interesting to see how they match up as they played a newly promoted team in Salisbury.

I think Salisbury and Campbelltown WILL create a head ache for many teams in 2017. The number 2 for Salisbury was allowed to run riot as were the two wingers.

After round 1 money is on westies to take out the tile and do the double.
