Re: Inter No. 16
It has been an incredibly difficult week at Salisbury Inter, with the passing of one of our most dearly loved and respected members. We do not wish to dishonour her memory by questioning the integrity of any opposition players, supporters or officials on a public forum with comments that are clearly speculative and subjective.
A detailed report outlining yesterdays match, including input from our two ground stewards, will be provided to the amateur league and we will speak with our players and supporters about the incident in line with the standard process.

Re: Inter No. 16
Well said Rodney. The supporter was confronted by Butler after he came charging out the change rooms being a big shot. Why did he need to do this? Why did 10/15 people jump in giving cheap shots. That's pathetic
Re: Inter No. 16
If this was Ghan United everyone would be calling for the club to be banned... Yet given its a established club and one with a strong successful history no one has mentioned that the club should be banned .....

There needs to be acceptance from the other parties.
Should not be spectators gathering behind the goals and within a metre or 2 of the goal line to boot ( thought that was meant to be the case anyway )
Time to move on now and let whatever investigation take place and maybe that might be a factor that needs improving ??
What will be will be..

And this has been an issue for many a year with many SAASL clubs. Its only bad if another club does it. Especially a "new" club.bloodypassit wrote:If this was Ghan United everyone would be calling for the club to be banned... White line painted behind goal within league regulations, How do you stop anyone standing anywhere on a public recreational space. Next people will want fences like the fed's.......No kidding wrote:So it was all Inter was it ?bloodypassit wrote:If this was Ghan United everyone would be calling for the club to be banned... Re: Inter No. 16
I think both clubs should be required to forfeit their next match. It seems only fair.
(Calm down everyone, we have Downs next week, all tongue in cheek)
Spectator's behind goals can be an issue. I think there should be an exclusion zone of an agreed distance, since there is no fencing.
I remember a few years back a referee moving our spectators from behind our goal.

Re: Inter No. 16
surely the downs yobs behind the goal add to the atmosphere. people need to be able to receive and give advise and consider it banter.

Re: Inter No. 16
I remember a few years ago at Brahma Lodge being told by a referee to move from near the Southern end goal (closer to the corner flag than the goal) where I was taking photographs....never understood why, think he said he wouldn't restart the game until I moved.
Meanwhile at the Northern end (near the changerooms) there were about 80 spectators in a very similar area that he did nothing about..

Supporters should not be behind the goals. Only last week they moved all of the Liverpool supporters from the Kop as they were behind the goal.
