Burundi 2: Strathalbyn 1
Good game reduced to 65 minutes due to the referee arriving at the ground and then sitting in his car until 3.20 because he could only see one team warming up, which was Strath. Burundi were not ready on time, still filling in their team sheet (which they borrowed off us) well after 3pm. THey did not strip for game until after 3pm. We had to lend them gloves for their keeper as well. Referee could have got out of his car and asked around to see that both teams were actually there. Pretty obvious seeing as Burundi are very African and we are not! Not a great start to the season and when we tried to ring Alex were told his phone was disconnected. Having said that Burundi are good bunch to play and very skilful. Our guys tried hard and made good game of it.
