Adelaide Celtic 2016
Good afternoon All,
My name is Iain and i am working toward re-instating Adelaide Celtic into SAASL for the 2016 season. At the moment Saturday competition looks like our best option.
We are currently searching for a place to call home for the upcoming season, and it appears vacant grounds are relatively scarce.
Preferably, we would like to find somewhere as close to the city as possible so we can engage people from all sides of the city, however this seems like an increasingly difficult task.
As per the leagues minimum requirements for home games we would need accesible toilets. Line marking is something that can be discussed, as is use of goals etc.
Access to the ground for 1 or 2 nights a week for training would be of great assistance but obviously then we would need lights.
Changerooms, bar facilities, storage area etc are certainly at this stage viewed as a massive bonus.
I am open to any suggestions and am absolutely keen to discussing sharing facilities with a sunday club, if the facilities/pitch are available on Saturdays during the season.
If anyone knows of any grounds that have become available since the seasons end, or want to discuss sharing facilities please feel free to contact me by using the email/phone number in the signature at the bottom of this page.

Swanny,
Thanks for sharing the link. Many good memories and many friends involved in Adelaide Celtic, the club was formed when i was 2 years old and it really was a way of life for us growing up.
Adelaide Celtic WILL be back next season, its just a matter of finding our home base.
time for the next generation to continue on what our fathers started.

maybe talk to saasl they seem to often let teams play there for their first year, will save you money on getting lines done etc and may give you access to the bar and change rooms as wellAdelaide_Celtic wrote:Swanny,

Gristy,
Contact has been made with north ingle school, and if it is suitable we will look at it.
Surely Mawson Lakes SC would want to supplement their income with leasing out to a saturday afternoon team? hahaha just remember we drink plenty.
