I understand where you are coming from short term there may be better candidates, but in reality who ?. Roy will be 70 next world cup, I see him more like Moses leading us to it but never actually reaching the promised land himself. There are indications that finally a system is being put in place regarding continuity and England's long term development with Roy helping it’s progress. I do rate Gary Neville he does have potential but he needs time. I don't think it would be very easy to 'coach a root in a MacDonalds', - perhaps he couldn't 'get a root in a macdonalds" or a 'beer in a brewery'?
