Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
Maybe we should get a woman to referee their games, then they will show some respect. Their culture holds women in high regard

Sounds like nothing a good ol' group hug can't fix.
What I don't get is, if they are always looking for a fight and just itching to kill someone, why the f-uck did they choose football as their sport of choice, and not something a little more suitable such as boxing, MMA or kung fu? I just added kung fu in there because it's one of those words that's still fun to say.
But seriously, go beat the shi-t out of each other in a controlled environment, where you can match one another up fairly, and go hammer and tongs on each other. From what I've heard they could probably use the extra fight training too, as every time a new story comes out about them trying to attack a ref, they never really ever get the job done properly now do they? And you'd think a ref would be an easier notch to get on that Captain Courageous belt of theirs, yet 22 of them against the one ref, and the man in black is still standing.
These are their options in my opinion:
Either just play football like you're expected to, or
Stop embarrassing yourselves and actually finish the job properly if your going to attack a ref, or
F-uck off down to the local RSL and give lawn bowls a go. There'd be heaps of old people there that you can intimidate and try to attack.
It's like f-ucking groundhog day with these clowns each year, and I'm starting to worry that they're really not progressing at all in their endeavors, rather just cruising at the same level each time. Come on lads, no point doing anything if your not setting some personal goals to at the very least improve on your last efforts each year. Frankly, your letting yourselves down, and rumor has it the refs are starting to gain some confidence now, in that they're starting to believe they may even have a shot against you all. It's only a matter of time before 44 refs rock up to your home ground and chase you all into a locked change room.
if u want them in a boxing ring 1 on 1 keep dreaming... no friends to back you up in the ring...

Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
All the teams should refuse to play against these guys. This is a constant theme with them. It is not an isolated incident. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt but it happens too often. The SAASL will do nothing and they will be playing next week. The referees should also refuse to officiate their games.

Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
From what we are hearing AYS will be removed from the league.
The referee kept their match cards to take to SAASL as well.
A YS member came over to ask for the match cards so they could play next week
Fingers crossed this is the last of them....... until they join their mates at Ghan.

AYS were 1-0 up when we won a penalty. They had a player red carded. Another player pushed the ref amd got red carded. A supporter threw a drink bottle at the ref as they all tried to chase him.
Angle Vale players and ground marshalls stood between ref and AYS players. Ref had to be locked in clubrooms for his safety.
Absolute joke. 2 years in a row this side have attacked a referee at our ground.
They need to be gone and never come back.
Families and kids everywhere thats not what you want happening.

Southern Knights ( 4 ) Para Hills West ( 2 )
Tom Salvemini ........................ Jay Alves
Ben Jones .............................. Louis Mazocca
Iain Stewart
T.O.G.
Great to get a first win in the SAASL Sunday Premier Division today with a good display of football from Knights.
Knights were low on numbers being minus Stephen Maguire (OS), Matt Daughtry (work), Scott Bradley (family) and Andrew Alvino (inj).
The recent additions of young players like Ross McNab and Shaun Papworth ( both South Adelaide Panthers) and return of Tom Salvemini
helped to patch the holes for coach Jim McGuinness whilst Gareth Butler took up the goalkeeping duties for Stephen Maguire.
Unfortunately Wests had a player sent off toward the end of the game but all in all a hard fought encounter for both sides.
Reserves
Southern Knights ( 1 ) Para Hills West ( 7 )
Anthony Micheal
Knights paid for squandering early chances and found themselves 0-4 down by half time with a first half hat-tick from PHW's Ben (Chetcuti ?).
The home side had difficulty coping with the pace of Para Hills Wests attack.
Young Alan Annic played out his first full game for Knights and a reluctant Nick Swann
filled in for gloveman Phill Smith ho will undergo surgery on his hand this week.
Not a great day for squad numbers and injuries and Westies being too strong on the day...will be hoping for an improvement each week from here on in.

Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
Gahn v South Coast
5-2 [A's]
4-2 [B's]
The B grade game was an absolute disgrace. South Coast dominated the opening half going up 2-0. Their ref then awarded Ghan a penalty for a reason no one knew as he didn't care to explain himself, a trend that continued for the whole 90 mins. The linesman then flagged for offside when they scored but the referee thought he had a better view of it from the other half of the pitch. When our players began voicing their concerns at the fact they were being awarded free kick for almost everything, he decided to start booking players left right & centre before sending one of ours off. After that the game got a little nasty and proved our undoing ... He might as well have put Ghan down for 3 points before the start of the game.
-
The A grade saw a decent first half. Ghan scored early but our star man copped a high boot to the face (as the last man) resulting in a converted penalty. He ended up in hospital with blood coming out everywhere. It was a decent game and at the start of the second half, Ghan put their foot down and really played well with some great passing play to see the game out.
