FULHAM UTD - BUILDING WORKS STARTED ON NEW CHANGE ROOMS

Post by bigpond »

Just a note to clubs that visit Fulham that building works have commenced on the new change rooms.

Access to the old change rooms is now restricted and away teams will now have to change in a separate room which will not have shower facilities - this is unavoidable due to the building works.

Works will continue through to September 2014 so there will be short term pain for the longer term benefit.

The club rooms are not affected.

Great news for the club and soccer community.

Just to clarify, oppostion teams won't be able to shower after the game but the home team will be able to.

Surely the away team can use your showers :?: From a players and coaches perspective we won't be coming in the clubrooms afterwards if there are no shower facilities available as no-one wants to put their clothes on and stand around after not having a shower.

There's always the duck pond nearby if you get desperate.

PS - well done Fulham, hope all goes well.

Will there be any place to have a shower? We has a similar issue in 2012 at Brahma and allowed visiting teams to use our home change rooms. Can't really expect people hanging around all day after playing without a shower

Not having a go, just wanted to enquire as we are there next week

Even Elizabeth Grove allow you a shower. Albeit filthy, but they have them.

Sorry. This is an utter disgrace you would not even offer opposition a shower in my opinion. Yet you wish to state that the club rooms will not be affected? LMFAO!

I personally hope you reconsider the shower and club room statement. Or expect very little in return from your opposing clubs both at your ground and theirs.

Just to clarify - where the away team changes there will not be shower facilities but after the game the away team is welcome to come into the home team changerooms and shower there.

With the building works there is only 1 way access in and out and it is through the home teams changerooms and having teams going in and out and coming and going through the home teams rooms is not ideal hence a different room for away teams (which will have seating and be spacious enough).

After the game coming in for a shower in the home team rooms is not a problem.

Will shower facilities be available for supporters? I like having a quick shower at half time, but if this is not possible, I will not stay to watch the second half.

Played at a ground last year where we had to get changed in the home team's showers after walking through the home team's changeroom! Felt like a gas chamber...
